I maybe spending some time in hospital would like to get an MP3/4 player to pass the time. I don't need a phone, would prefer to steer clear of Apple as I don't want to be tied to iTunes (but if I have to I will). Also would like a good Gb of storage so I can put all my CDs onto it and a good battery life .

A colleague has a Sony MW-ZX2. Long life battery and 128GB of storage. Seems to be really good.

Good thinking, Tech has moved on a bit since I last had an MP3 player, I used to have a Creative and it was great. the portable DVD player may be a good way to go around £50 from Argos
Its a bit depressing to see how Apple have the market wrapped up, it may end up being an Apple iPod touch 64GB for just under £250

I know that you didn't want a phone but I have a nokia 735 and it would be ideal, pocket size, hd screen, plays films off the micro SD card, can be used as a music player.
It will work as a tablet if it has no sim card in it, ie all functionality except calls/3g/4g.
£189

I can greatly recommend the "Sandisk Sansa Clip".

If you're not convinced, look on the internet, I haven't found a single bad review.
Ours is doing great after years of abuse as well.
- Great sound
- Pretty damn cheap
- Great battery life, rechargeable through USB
- Drag and drop usb (no 3rd party software)
- Takes micro SD cards, so very cheap to get loads of storage (32GB/card)

Had one for years and used it for the gym. It has taken a beating but still sounds good and works well. A lot for a pittance of an outlay.- Great sound

£59!? That looks great for the money. If I didn't already have a Dell Windows tablet I would buy that with my Clubcard points.Gassing Station | Computers, Gadgets & Stuff | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
