Plugged mine yesterday afternoon...... I must admit I reasonably IT inept, and have mixed feelings thus far......

Running XBMC... loaded both "super-repo" & "fusion" a lot of the content I flick comes up with error messages "script failed" or "one or more items failed to play. Check log file for details" ... are these just defunct streams, or am I missing some software ?

Some of the quality of the live streaming is terrible, but check out bongdatructuyen this looked decent

Yes, some of the sports streams are a bit 'low-def', but tv shows and films seem to be great.

with being the end of the footy season, I've decided to ditch my Virgin TV package, as I have both Freeview and Freesat, now backed up with Minix, as well ditching phone line, which has never been plugged in 10 years..... saving me about £80/month

I will look in to changing broadband provider..... but can't see me changing as Virgin is via their cable system, where as every other one via BT phone lines, and my last experience with BT internet was a disaster......

Edit,

actually saved £90/month, increased broadband speed to 50 with unlimited download, and kept the phone line as it was £3/cheaper per month...

I put kodi on the htpc yesterday and agree re the crap sports stream quality.

Some films are good but seem to all be lacking 5.1 sound.

Also the sky sports streams seem to be permanently broken

Try googling as you might need to update the URL in the add-on config settings - I needed to do that to get ProjectFreeTV and Icefilms working correctly.

Can you get onto the 1channel/primewire website on your ip as some providers block the standard URL.

Keep trying one of the different addresses for the site till you find one that's not blocked then use that for the Kodi addon.

Has anyone succeeded in getting the Sky F1 stream working? For the practice today that is.

Have got four streams available, but none will link up.

Have tried Phoenix , P2P and vdubt25 without success.

Yes the lack of 5.1 for me is also an issue, there is a bloke on the first page of Navi-x who has plenty movies in 5.1.
