Can I disable the camera button on my Sony Xperia Z2?

Apparently, Sony thought it was a good idea to have a physical button on the side of the phone to turn on the camera feature. I don't care that the camera is supposed to be very good - in so far as a phone camera ever can be! - this is a fking stupid idea!!!

Hmm... I think I'll browse something on the internet... Oh no I won't, because I've accidentally pressed the stupid fking button which sits conveniently under the ball of my thumb when I'm holding the phone!

Of course, when I actually want to take a picture, I completely forget that this button is here and go and select the camera just like you would on any other Android phone, and that just rubs it in even further!!!

Please could someone tell me that there's an easy way to prevent this stupid sodding button from opening the camera app? It's otherwise a superb phone, but this "feature" is annoying beyond belief!

Personally, this is one of my favourite features on my Z2, really easy to go straight to being ready to capture an image without unlocking the phone etc. I don't have the issue of opening it by accident. Must be the way we hold the phone.

To turn off:

Open the camera app (whichever way you like!) > press the 3-dot menu button at the top corner of the screen > select the cog icon > select 'Quick Launch' option > set to 'Off'
