Can anyone suggest an RC car that's:

  • suitable for my 4 yr old (so not very fast)
  • works in the garden & uneven ground
  • can take a few knocks
  • is cheap enough
Obviously it's a gift for HIM..

I bought one of these recently and funnily enough for my lad's fourth birthday. It's okay for the money and seems to be able to cope with a bit of rough stuff / knocks.

Only issue is that not being a 2.4GHz TX/RX the controller it has a pull out antenna which although telling my boy to be careful not to break it his two year old sister did it for him instead

Looks good. Wonder if his 12 month old sister will comply...

My 3 year old had one of these, the 5 year old loves it too. Very tough and genuinely seems to go anywhere, long grass, rough gravel, steep slopes. It's called a VaporizR and they are made by Nikko.
