Android TV boxes, worth it?

Before the thread was cleansed I'm sure someone posted about a wife-friendly front end for Kodi but I cannot see that post now. Can anyone please post what it was?

I made mine wife-friendly by saving lots of links as favourites in Kodi so Mrs Chimp can just click on them to get up and running.

I was setting up my next door neighbours Kodi yesterday as he has just bought an android tv box.

His was about half the price of my Minix X8...and it showed! Much slower in navigating menus, and the bundled remote was flaky at best.

I am much happier having spent the money on a quad core box with great wifi performance and a quality bluetooth remote - makes a difference!
