I have downloaded it for my 5s and iPad Air. Not a lot of difference apart from the fonts on my phone, but several little tweaks apparent on my iPad. Generally looks cleaner.

I've got it on one of our test phones at work and it feels very similar to iOS 8. I will put the public beta on my iPad when it is available, but I'm not sure how many of the new features will be available on an iPad 2.

So after a few days the battery seems to have settled on my air2 and I'm seeing a good improvement. It's a lot of minor improvements that add up to make a big improvement on iOS8.

I certainly like holding 2 fingers down on the keyboard to move the cursor around.

Interesting review in the, er, Guardian. Split screen looks good.

PiP is a great function, esp on a tablet but also on a big phone, watching youtube/netflix while searching something on the web. There was a player (moboplayer?) that allowed it on my S2, have used it countless times.

So isn't this out today? My phone isn't showing any updates available yet.

Interesting to see features that have been around on desktops (and windows tablets) finally coming to iOS ...

It'll be interesting to see how well iOS9 works on my 4S.

yes
Very funny when working both iOS and Android, for the past couple of years, iOS has been adding features while Android has been polishing animations. Both systems are getting more and more alike rather than growing a part.

Maybe because everyone wants the same end result?

As usual Apple servers crumble as people try and download. Seems better when downloading through iTunes.

Shame Apple Watch OS 2 has been delayed due to a bug frown

Just installed it, looks like the phone app now has a database of UK STD codes, any number not in your contacts now shows the town the call originated from.

ipad Air 2 was fine - iphone 6 also put into recovery mode but I ignored it and forced the update - hopefully it'll be ok...

Mobile adblocking is a game changer. I downloaded "Crystal" on the App Store and all ads are simply gone.
It also speeds up page loading times and saves traffic. The web experience on iOS just took a quantum leap in my eyes.

Can't image Google is very happy about this; I think this is one of the things that Steve Jobs thought about when he said he would go "nuclear" on Google.

Edit: some benchmarks - 3.9x faster loading web pages on average.

Nice of Apple to "save" me from my own stupidity by enforcing download over wifi, when I'm 20 meters away from an LTE mast with a 20GB transfer allowance. FFS.

Wonder if I dare install it on my 4S. Problem is, I'll have to install 8 first. I stayed on 7 because of the nightmare stories I heard about 8 on the 4S. If I install 8 so that I can install 9, and 9 causes more hassle than it's worth, I'll only be able to roll back as far as 8, which I definitely don't want.
