IOS 9.0.2 has just been released, here's some info about it from mac rumours-

'9.0.2 is available immediately to all iOS 9 users as an over-the-air update.

Like iOS 9.0.1, iOS 9.0.2 is a minor update that focuses on introducing some much-needed bug fixes and performance enhancements to Apple's newest operating system.
This update contains bug fixes and improvements including:

- Fixes an issue with the setting to turn on or off app cellular data usage
- Resolves an issue that prevented iMessage activation for some users
- Resolves an issue where an iCloud backup could be interrupted after starting a manual backup
- Fixes an issue where the screen could incorrectly rotate when receiving notifications
- Improves the stability of Podcasts'

Anybody else experiencing a problem with text messages coming through, either on the lock screen or in Notification Centre, without contact names attached but rather just phone numbers? They display properly once opened, and the problem disappears once I switch over to iMessages. But for the dozen or so friends I regularly receive texts from on Android, it's frustrating.
Yes - when a friend sends an iMessage it shows her number on the notification rather than name. Only person so far that I've had this with.

it has happened before, but i've never seen so many reports of regression bugs in such a huge range of apple and other apps. they've basically broken everything, not just causing the OS to run slowly (on older devices) like we've seen previously.

Well it seems you have a lot of dislike for your apple device that maybe it's just not for you?
Where have I ever stated that I have a lot of dislike for my apple device? And what business is it of yours anyway?

I'm sure they are. I do not have an iphone.

I just create another folder and put them away and forget about it. I do gave 64gb though so I have space to spare. I like the idea of find my iPad though. And the wipe it option, don't want anyone to utilise my Angry Birds high scores.

Well seeing that we are on a public forum and all you have been is very negative about the software certainly gives off the impression that you don't actually like the device. So if that's not the case you may need to re adjust your wording. Is it my business, no however again a public forum where generally people mention something and then want a response, and generally that response they would like is advice, I assumed you were after advice but I guess you just wanted to rant and actually I've wasted my time, but I'm guessing it's not my business to know if that's correct or not.

Your response to Alex is a bit uncalled for rather than being blunt you could have said "I don't have an iPhone I have an iPod, I've stuck with it because bla bla bla" no need to be rude we were all just trying to help.

Anyone having keyboard issues?

If I get a message for example then tap the notification from the top of the screen the message app opens but the keyboard is just a white square.

I can start typing and it works but the keyboard layout only appears after a good 5-10 seconds.

Apologies, I got that wrong. My mistake. However, if you would allow me to correct myself I still think it's a valid question so I reword it.

Competitors devices are very good these days mp3manager, is there any particular reason for sticking with your Apple device? As ecsrobin has pointed out, you don't seem overly happy with iOS.

My 6s has crashed and burned today, it's in recovery mode but won't restore, gives an error 9.

I'm pretty good on simple IT tasks and I've read all the tutorials, tried different leads, different pc's, updated iTunes etc.

So I call the company that supply all of my comms equipment and he groans and says "not another!"

I'm not sure if it's to do with the 9.02 update or the 6S itself, but something appears to be bricking them.

I did Google and found that article, unfortunately it didn't work.

I thought it was some kind of domain/group policy/firewall/web filter issue at my office, but it wouldn't restore in the shop either.

I'm just wandering if the 9.02 release yesterday meant the Apple servers were being caned and that was why I was getting the error 9. My phone is back at my friends shop, I'll get him to try it again today now things should have calmed down a bit.

I'm having trouble with my 6s running 9.0.3 on Three - I can't get any data/3g when I'm out and about whereas my wife (iPhone 5 on iOS 9) is fine. I've tried rebooting etc but to no avail - It's weird because when I get home it connects to the Three home signal box and I get 3g.

Ask Three to resend your network configuration/carrier settings, IIRC they can send it to your phone over the air.
When I activated my 6S one was immediately pushed to my phone.

Just updated to 9.0.3 and all the music that used to be one my phone has gone - kind of?! My library is still there but iTunes seems to want to stream it only (presumably from iCloud) - if I turn off my wifi and data all my music is greyed out and I can't play it. It was all on the phone until this morning frown any ideas how to get it back? Sync to PC is not really an option; I only ever update/back-up my library on the iPad and iPhone.

He's a new one, iTunes. My music has disappeared, it still shows but it's mostly in the cloud.
So I thought I'd sync on the PC.
Here's the problem, my PC is running XP, when I go to sync I get the message to update iTunes
as that version won't run with iOS 9.02.
But the latest iTunes won't install on XP!
Snookered.

It does this for some reason. I lost all my synced music stored on my 5S when I upgraded to 9. The library was still there but only in offline mode. My other half did the same and forgot that I told her not to update so now she's lost her music too. It wouldn't be the end of the world as you can just select the music and store offline but on my phone it didn't free up any space to allow me to do so. Got the 6S now and went for a larger capacity one!
