Ah yes I didn't spot that, although XP has not been supported in a long time so is very insecure.

Since I bought a carplay unit? Yes I have. Many times. It really is frustrating.

But not as frustrating as not talking to me at all.

I think I have solved the issue - it seems to be a problem with the British voice - I've changed it to US and it has come back to life.

Every time i swipe and delete one, it pops back in again?

No, although I did get a couple of instances of it telling me I had over 4 billion unread emails. Seems to have stopped doing that again now
