Wonder if I dare install it on my 4S. Problem is, I'll have to install 8 first. I stayed on 7 because of the nightmare stories I heard about 8 on the 4S. If I install 8 so that I can install 9, and 9 causes more hassle than it's worth, I'll only be able to roll back as far as 8, which I definitely don't want.
Sounds like a risky manoeuvre.I like split screen, can't say I'll use it much. However, I liked swiping right to flick between web pages, but now I can't

On 9.1 beta so have to frig it back to 9 public release. Think I might stay put.
Good point I'm on 9.1 beta on my phone and I had assumed it would dump that and load the new version which it hasn't.
When 9.2 is released will it then overwrite or do I have to restore and go through a new install now?

I'll wait 'till the early adopters have something to say about it, then decide.
Is anyone else mystified by how Apple considered iOS 9 for for public release?
On my iPhone 6:
1) I can't connect to my home wifi
2) I can't update any apps (only 'open' them from the update page in the App Store)
3) I can't open any events in my calendar.
I also don't trust my alarm to go off tomorrow morning.

I was getting 2 but it seems to have resolved itself, I think it's related to load the App Store/Apple servers getting overloaded because everyone's downloading iOS 9.On my iPhone 6:

Disappointed to find I can't install content blocker on my 5
Well after three hours I've still not got iOS9 on my iPhone 5 working. Keeps getting stuck on the "Slide to update" screen which won't respond to anything. Reset and it loops back round to that screen eventually.
So I've now gone into DFU mode and attempting a restore from backup...
iFail

Its "only" my works phone, so doesn't matter if it has problems. So lets give it a go ....
Updated both my iPhone 5S and iPad 2 last night no problem with either install.
Maybe its me but having read through the list of new features etc I can't find the Apple News app that is mentioned as one of the new features of iOS9. Is it hidden somewhere, or not yet available, or do I have to download it from the App store?

Just updated my 4S. Had a look for News. Not on the phone, and it doesn't appear in the store either. Maybe the 4S doesn't support "news".Maybe its me but having read through the list of new features etc I can't find the Apple News app that is mentioned as one of the new features of iOS9.
