My 3000UX and 3000T are still churning away in a corner of the office.

No idea what they're up to - probably plotting to unleash some Lemmings.

Such fond memories of the Amiga from my childhood! Gods, Leander, Shadow of the Beast, SWOS, Rainbow Islands...some amazing games!

A huge part of my childhood. I can't believe it's been 30 years. Still cool too.

They sure were great. I had the 500 and later the 1200. Far better than anything else out at the time in my opinion.

Think I played all of those and, of course, Lemmings. Recently found my Windows copy of Lemmings, need to get that up and running again (if it can cope with my high spec PC).

I seem to recall getting a disc of Amiga ROMs a few years ago, but couldn't get the emulator to work! Well gutted, would be nice to play those games again

Far too many ours spent on SWOS, F1 GP & James Pond. Somehow the simplicity of them still appeals

I had 2 500's , a 2000 , then a 3000. After that went to the PC . Think I bought the first 500 in 1986, maybe '87. Ony had 512k onboard. I well recall being over the moon at picking up a 512k trapdoor expansion for £90 , instead of the retail £135 . Eh? £270 for a MEG!! a bloody Meg, how times have changed.

I was quite lucky, as Commodore had a large refurb facility in Petrborough, and a mate of mine took on contract work from them. So was able to pick up kit far cheaper that I would have otherwise. I had 2 x 100 meg scsi H/D's and 8 meg of ram in the 3000 , heady stuff back then .

It was on the Amiga, that I discovered elite, and found how obsessive a computer game can make one. Happy memories

My favourite on the Amiga was Alien Breed.

I just picked up a second hand version of Alien Breed Trilogy for Xbox 360 - still a cracking game smile

Archie was better tongue out
I bought my Amiga 500+ in 1991 or 1992 for £399

In 1992 the Acorn Achimedes was £525 for the A3000, £799 for the A3010, £999 for the A4000 and up to £1599 for the A5000. So if it wasn't better...........
