Clock speed has gone up from 1.3-1.4 Ghz to 2.2-2.4Ghz that's massive that's the 70% improvement in speed.
Does not justify upgrade cost from 6+, Mr fanboy.
That's a massive increase like a 3ltr v a 1.6ltr car. Worlds apart

Haven't watched the keynote. Is the charging magnetic now? Does it have the pushy screen people were talking about and did they introduce a stylus? Also is it still bendy lol? Real man on the street here, big words lol.
No magnetic charging, yes it has Force Touch, now newly named "3D Touch" and no it doesn't have a stylus but the new iPad Pro has. Doesn't bend like the 6 thanks to series 7000 alumni(i)um

£699 for the 128mb 6s bought outright. £789 for the plus

'kin hell. Think I'll stick to my £50 windows phone, which already does those "animated gif" live photos, and wait for the 7 next year.

I felt compelled to post to vent some steam, as my wife couldn't care less.

Live Images - my Lumia 930 has had that for over a year. Every idouchebag with nearly £800 lying around doing nothing is going to be banging on about this feature for months.

GRRRRRR.

Also, the new laptop, looks remarkably like a Surface.

Which is the same price as it was last year. Nothing's increased - didn't you know/ were you unaware of Apples pricing strategy?

Infact by not increasing were having a year on year price cut due to inflation happy days indeed.

So a 16gb phone with lets say 12gb useable after the OS. Anyone guess how long a video you could record at 4k to use 12gb up?

Depends on compression. Decent quality... Probably not more than a couple of minutes.

I would have thought they'd upped the base model to 32GB like Samsung did.

I'm on the 5, I was going to try pushing through to the 7, but I've battered my phone so badly (5 screens in 2 months!) its starting to not let me type properly, so this one it is. At least I guess I'll notice a difference, will be miffed if the 7 is the 'big jump' phone though....

now that the photos are taking up more and more room, it would be nice to be able to select the resolution of photos.

Just dump them in drop box & turn of HDR picture quality.

That said I've well over a thousand pics on mine quite a number of videos 15Gb of music and 3 films and all the bottom series, young ones and fawlty Towers on my 32Gb

Not going to bother with a 6s. Looking at upgrades now, do you think the prices on regular 6 phones will come down? Im happy with the plan cost im seeing but would hate to sign myself up now and see the prices drop in 2 days!

He announced yesterday that the cost of the 6/6+ will drop $100 per phone and the new 6S/6S+ will be the same price as the 6/6+ was so no increase in price.

The key thing is is the £65 decrease in price worth it? Or rather for £65 the extras you get over the 6 are they worth it? Only you can decide that for yourself. But it's a tank of fuel which in 2 years time you'd still get a fair amount of that back come trade in.

You can do something similar now with iCloud photo library -

Settings -> photos and camera -> Optimise iPhone storage

You need to be signed up for iCloud though...

I'll maybe wait a couple days and see then, the plan I was looking to upgrade to was £50 a month with £120 upfront for a 64GB iPhone 6. I'll wait and see if the 6s matches that.

Thanks thumbup

It's cheaper and more flexible to pay for the phone outright.

Considering the sensor is now at 12MP, I'd thought they'd have added that by now? Especially considering the 16GB models...
