Were people really ready to be hit by each other, or struck with a snooker cue?

Didn't know they'd installed a 3D screen. They didn't mention that at any point in the keynote. Thought those had been abandoned a few years back as a useless gimmick.

Anyways, enjoy the phone smile
It was all a lot more sedate than I imagined it to be, I just had it in my head that it would be really busy.

Sorry, that's my fault. When I say 3D screen, I mean the 3D Touch smile

Definitely heavier than my iPhone6 and slightly darker colour on the Space Grey as well.

Graphics feel smoother on screen as well.

The fingerprint id sensor is VERY fast as well.

Have had mine for a few hours now, it's a decent upgrade from the 5S but is quite big compared to what I'm used to! Getting to grips with it though.

What's this about a 3D screen? What can I do with it?

Set mine up by 11:00.

Really chuffed with it. Nice upgrade from a 5s. Got a genuine apple silicone case and that's ever so nice.

Now to open up the can of worms that is selling the old one.

I'm keeping my 5s as the pub and sailing phone. See how long that lasts.....

I'm giving it to the wife and her old iPhone4 is actually going to our 3yo for wifi usage..... Apparently a 16Gb version is worth £20 so may as well keep it as he hassle isn't worth it

It basically can tell how hard you are pushing it, so can do different things with different amounts of pressure.

Go onto an index page for eg this computer forum section, then slowly push down and you should get an example of the page the link goes to, give it a push harder and it will go full screen.

You can do the same in mail and text messages etc.

I'm up and running. Now how the **** do I delete an app? I think to force touch has changed how it used to work

Just keep holding your finger on the app until the little cross appears - just tried it on the 6s.

Picked mine up yesterday at regent street. 15minutes queue for reservations and I was out of there.

First impressions are good. Much better than my 5.

Mine arrived yesterday and the case on the same day too by good fortune. All updated and stuff transferred from old 5 on ios7 so this new 6s feels like a massive upgrade, especially the bigger screen smile Happy days.

Picked up mine (6S, 128GB, Space Grey) at the Apple Store yesterday morning and traded in my 6. It took a long time to download everything, but I have 85GB on my phone. Apple Pay is quicker. That makes a difference on the Tube. 3D touch is something I'm getting used to. Will see how useful it really is over the next week or so. Battery life seems the same.

It's a tiny bit thicker and noticeably heavier. Concerned that my Lifeproof case won't fit.

Using the hard-press mode of 3D touch sort of reminds me of trying to get Launch Control working on BMW! Its sort of like you have to really give it a good push, past the point where you think it will break

{For those not familiar with BMW Launch Control on non-M cars: Sport+ mode, gearbox to "sport" (not manual), then you have to press the brake really hard right to the end, then you have to very quickly slam the accelerator all the way to the floor (pressing the 'button' at the end) - and only then will "Launch Control Active" show on the display. Release the brake pedal and fllyyyyyyy}

You can change the sensitivity of 3D Touch in settings - I've just changed mine and it's much better.

I thought mine didn't work until I changed the sensitivity and now it works every time. I think it's probably because we are not used to press the screen hard.

So what's the general consensus, worth upgrading the 6 to get one?

I don't particularly care to have the latest model, but I do want the best tool possible for getting work done. Email, web, viewing graphics documents in pdf.

If I had a 6 I wouldn't have got the 6s. Horses for courses.
