So what's the general consensus, worth upgrading the 6 to get one?
I don't particularly care to have the latest model, but I do want the best tool possible for getting work done. Email, web, viewing graphics documents in pdf.
I would never upgrade from a 4/5/6/7 to a 4s/5s/6s/7s only jump every other year if you want a big development. The bigger changes are between 5s/6s to 6/7I don't particularly care to have the latest model, but I do want the best tool possible for getting work done. I have always said the same - but after seeing the article which shows that it costs just as much to upgrade every year as every other year, I am considering it.sealtt said:

I say yes. I went from a 6 to a 6S and the difference in speed is noticeable. Plus with the new screen apps are only going to get better. I don't particularly care to have the latest model, but I do want the best tool possible for getting work done. Email, web, viewing graphics documents in pdf.
With people saying it's not worth upgrading every year I disagree. I sold my 64GB 6 to my bro in law CHEAP at £310 and I pay £15 a month PAYG on EE. So it's costing me £40.75 a month to have a new iPhone every year with all the data and calls I need.
The equivalent deal on EE would be a TWO YEAR contract paying £46.99 a month with an upfront cost of £139.99.
No brainer for me.
iPhones hold their values well if they are kept in good condition, so if, for example, you had a 6 and wanted a 6S, then you wouldn't have to pay much to upgrade.
I've had the 6S a couple of days, and I like it. I'll keep it until the 7 is announced, then decide from there. Some people think that it's crazy to spend so much on a phone on a semi regular basis, but I use it every day, and I've spent far more on stuff that I use far less frequently, so why not?

I've upgraded from a 6 plus to a 6 plus s, I've been very impressed with the improvements, the 3D Touch is brilliant, and I'm looking forward to seeing what developers come up with to incorporate it. The whole phone is much more snappy and more enjoyable to use, I've not tried the new camera either. The most un expected feature for me which I think is worth the upgrade alone is the more responsive Touch ID, it's instantaneous now!

I have done in the past, but don't feel tempted this time around.Phone contracts being as they are means that I'm now phased for the iPhone 7 in September next year. Suits me as the 6 is doing all I need it to.

Coming from a 5, Twitter is a bit of a pain to use now, because the phone is just too big to reach the back/close icons, and the dropdown double tap thing is rubbish.
That said, love the rest of it!
