If you can't afford it upfront, then put it on an interest free credit card.
This discussion has been had thousands of times, but if you can't afford it upfront, don't buy it. It's a smartphone, not a fracking house.
Plenty of £150 devices that do 95% of the things these "high end" devices do.
the deals this time around even though the 6s has just come out seem to work out not much more expensive than buying a 6 outright etc., so I can only assume they are about the same as buying a 6s outright. Weird as when I got my 6 i did buy it outright, and it worked out far cheaper than the deals that were around at the time... and that was as soon as it came out a year ago. So, it's now a non-argument. Just go get a contract.
Really pleased with my 6s thus far and wife loves her s+.
I've noticed a couple of annoying things, the one that bugs me the most:
I think there's some kind of conflict with the new 3d touch and how selecting text (to copy, cut, paste etc) works.
I don't know if there are some 3d touch settings I can fiddle with - but trying to 'zoom' in and select text to cut/etc seems to be more difficult and less consistent now.
Anyone else noticed anything like this?

Apparently Costco are now selling 64gb 6s in store for £599. £20 less than rrp from Apple.
I'd check if it's actually an S. They only recently had both 6 + 6+ phones arrive. I can't see them having or being able to get their hands on launch handsets and sell bellow retail. GuyW said:

I wasn't going to upgrade my 6 Plus 128Gb and just wait for the 7 next year. However, since upgrading to iOS9 it had been slow, stuttering and generally not very nice.
I have gone for the 6S Plus 128Gb and the difference is night and day in user friendliness. It seems the component boosts make all the difference. Fingerprint scan takes a fraction of the time, swapping between apps is lightning fast. Peek and pop is clever.
For those wondering if it's worth it I understand why, but for me it really is.

I'm about to upgrade from a 5s to a 6s and will be setting up Apple Pay - just because I can, rather than for any real need..
I understand that Apple Pay can be used on London Underground. Is it cheaper or more expensive than using an Oyster card? (I don't go to London very often, but will be there in November)
And apologies for slight "thread drift!"

I recently found out if you double tap (don't press) the button it brings the top of the screen down so you can reach the top left corner. Quite neat
Saw that but what does that do for you then? Nothing in the top of my screen Got the 6s after the 5. Like it a lot, but still fumbling a little while texting, especially if I go to landscape mode. Loving the finger print sensor I have to say.
Have set up apple pay with several cards, but noticed something interesting. One of the cards I set it up with doesn't have that little contactless logo on it, and when I tried using that one as apple pay, it failed. When I switched to a different card, it worked straight away. Co-incidence, or is the card being contactless a pre-requisite?
Also on the hunt for a very decent screen protector. Bought the silicon case from the shop.
