Contactless cards has nothing to do with it.

I currently have a Tesco Clubcard creditcard that I use every day and a Barclays debit card, neither work with apple pay so if they don't get their st in order soon i'll be moving both to banks that do support it.

My main bank was named in the pre-launch publicity, but they still haven't got round to enabling ApplePay, so I'm stuck with Amex on mine, which means I can only use it where I can use Amex. My other bank is Barclays. rolleyes

Just so I have this clear in my head: You're going to switch banks because you can't use ApplePay with your (contactless) Barclays debit card?

As far as I've read on other sources a fair few people have changed from Barclays due to this.

is there anyway to stop the iCloud backup restoration? It's been on my front screen for a week and have no idea what it's still trying to restore. I can't connect to iTunes as my computer is now to old and can't run the latest update, also tried the standard turn it off and on again, and a restart.

I really don't fancy a complete restore as it was complete ball ache with numerous password resets trying to get iCloud to work.

I do. Anyone who is going to the trouble of swapping banks JUST to use Apple Pay is clearly a little bit mental.

Mine lasted a while (couple days) and that was because I had a lot of music/photos/apps on my phone that were still backing up. Do you have all of your music and photos? Other than that I can't help.

However I'm guessing for the majority of people they may have been on the edge of leaving and that's pushed them over. who knows.

Yep. Major wallet bug in this release with no confirmed update for a fix. It's bugging me as I use it for my boarding passes.

The only workaround currently is to go to settings, display and brightness, view, and change from standard to zoomed. Makes icons bigger, but for some reason, wallet then goes back to normal. It's been acknowledged on apple's own forums, but no fix release date.

Mrs 2CV's new iPhone 6s 64Gb in Rose Gold arrived yesterday. Apparently when I got married I signed a 30 minute resolution SLA for all IT problems as as soon as I walked in the door from work she was demanding I transfer all her contacts, photos and everything to the new phone, as she was going out shortly. She actually got in the huff because I said I wouldn't be able to do it before then. It's OK though as I am WFH today so I have loads of time to do it rolleyes

It happens with about 4 presses of the screen if you use icloud. Backup-Restore... done.
