Why not pop one of these in your pocket or case - http://www.duracelldirect.co.uk/m/pno/ubp0109a.htm...
I have bought these in the past, but never end up with it charged & on me when I need it!I'm hoping that the case charger can be a permanent fixture. I don't mind extra thickness, so will give it a go. Apple said I'll receive it tomorrow.
Well that iphone battery pack arrived today.
Classic Apple & great build quality and nice materials. Buttons have good responsiveness & feel through the case (volume buttons and lock). Fit is perfect. Nice little lip on the front so that it should protect the phone well.
Hump is noticeable and a minor irritant when holding the phone, but I'm sure I'll get used to it within a week. It is not light, if you already have full pockets it might be a bit much. For me it's manageable and at least fits in my pocket still, which the 'Plus' model does not.
I'll leave the case on permanently and it looks like the battery boosting capabilities are very significant.
To me the only real compromise is the added weight, but I'll happily accept that to get the battery life I require to make full use of the phone.

My 6+ (non S) battery has started dying when it gets to 10%. Phone just under a year old. Reckon I've got a chance of a free replacement at an Apple Store?
1 year warranty onlyEdit. I just read that the batteries are not included in the Sales of Goods act.
I would speak to Apple and see what they say. Maybe they will do a deal on a replacement.

Never mind the battery, I've just noticed a crack on the screen, top right corner. No idea how that's happened, had loads of iphone since 3gs with never a scratch. Bit miffed as its a new company phone.. I know its insured but I'm a bit embarrassed TBH.
Anyone else had a random screen crack?
I've seen a few random cracks in my time, but a bit disconcerted when I'm forced to put one near to my ear in public!

I took my 6 in just before the year was up and they claimed it was running at 80% efficiency and was not replaced.
Since then my phone goes from around 20/30% charge and shuts down. This appears to happen when the phone is cold as I put it in my golf bag. When I get home to charge it, it will reboot and be back to 20/30%. Very strange.

Batteries are probably not covered as the user not allowing the device to fully drain and charge can have an affect on battery life.
On the old NiMH cells they used to get memory effect, modern batteries don't.You also get a 2 year warranty on all phones, although you need to seek recourse through your network provider if the phone wasn't purchased directly from Apple.
Got my 6 replaced as it was getting crazy hot whilst idle. They gave me a replacement with a scratch on the screen. That was after 30 mins of refuting the claim that the iPhones get hot, its normal.
Now this replacement is getting similarly hot lol even though I did a factory reset.
I prefer IOS to everything else but I'm starting to wonder if its worth enduring these crappy quality phones.

Fully discharging and then fully recharging is not the best way to treat a modern Lithium-ion battery if you want to extend its life. They don't have a 'memory' effect the way that Nickel-Cadmium batteries did (and to a lesser extent Nickel metal hydride), but in an ideal world Lithium-ion batteries don't really like being at either extreme - either fully charged or fully discharged. If you're being fully anal about it, the best way to treat a Lithium-ion battery is to put it on charge when it gets to 10-20%, and charge it to about 80-90%. That will extend its lifetime slightly.
That said, I tend to put mine on charge overnight if it's below about 30%. The occasional full discharge and full recharge does have its benefit, because it gives the charging circuitry a chance to recalibrate itself (this is probably what Zod discovered above). But in general it's better to do lots of partial charges on a Lithium-ion.
Oh, and of course the golden rule for Lithium-ion batteries is not to let them get hot, e.g. leaving them in the sun. That really kills them.

Probably should start a new thread but i'm a bit pissed now, as i upgraded my iphone 5 to a 6s begrudgingly as the 5 size was perfect and apart from the 5c there wasn't a choice.

Sell the 6s and buy a 6SE, it shouldnt cost you muchhttp://www.apple.com/iphone-se/
I'm probably going to get an SE too. The OH has a 6S which is great, but I really don't want such a large phone or one that's so thin. I have a 4S at the moment and sometimes when it's in my pocket I can feel it digging into my leg, when I'm driving for example. A larger, thinner phone would be subjected to even more pressure and be less capable of withstanding it and possibly bend, so something based on the smaller and more robust structure of the 4/4S/5/5S, but up to date in terms of spec, is ideal for me.
