So anyone who has gadget insurance on such a phone which suffers an incident following that point may not be able to get a direct replacement instead the latest generation .... Hmm I'm sure naughty individuals go down this route for a free upgrade.

They keep stock of the old ones for replacements. That's for claims under Apple's warranty, anyway; if your insurance offers new for old then you'd get a new one I suppose - same as with anything else you need to claim for.

I added to my original reply but it doesn't show up as an edit. If it's not a warranty claim, it depends on your insurance policy terms. Seems a bit bizarre to suggest insurance fraud quite so openly, mind you.

Absolutely but we don't live in a perfect world and lots of people are naughty.

Well what a show they are expert at making the public want - and I certainly am one of those.

I'll be pre ordering the 6S+ and I think I might be also picking up the iPad Pro keyboard and apple pencil. This is way beyond expectations well done Apple raised the bar by a huge margin in every area.

I've got a reasonable size music collection, some photos and a few apps and I used about half of the available space on my 128Gb
do I really need 3x?
you probably need 4x even less then

Its OK but its not worth me upgrading from my iPhone 6. I am a big Apple fan but still not convinced. Did they mention anything about El Capitan release date?

iOS 9 - 16th September
iPhone 6S and 6S Plus release date - 25th September.
I think pre-order was this weekend.

What happened to the quite good features that were supposedly going to be introduced - the gizmo that ensured the phone always fell 'jammy side up' and sapphire unscratchable screen?

4K video recording
3D touch
12 MP camera
"Live pics" that's very cool
70% faster processor to the standard of a desktop PC!!
90% improvement in graphics
More efficient so battery should last longer in theory but they made little noise about this
Double speed wifi
Double speed LTFE

That's a lot over the 6. Actually worth seeing what you'd get for the 6 so actual £ upgrade may be pretty small.

I'll be pre-ordering a 6S.

I was going to get one anyway (as I'm still using a three year old iPhone 5), but I'm quite happy with what they've introduced.

With the size that photographs will be, I think getting the maximum memory size is a good idea!

God knows why anyone would get the 16Gb it's tiny , 64 GB is probably plenty but it's what 1 tank of fuel more to get 128Gb and you'll get a fair amount of that extra back come trade in time.

Same 1GB RAM
No increase in battery life
Auto GIFS that HTC brought out two years ago ('Zoe')
4K video which will be all but useless on the base 16GB model (perhaps enough memory to store 30 seconds of 4K)
No sapphire glass

Double speed wifi is not your broadband speed. It's transferring files (e.g. over Airdrop)

No reason to change from a 6 for another year.

Clock speed has gone up from 1.3-1.4 Ghz to 2.2-2.4Ghz that's massive that's the 70% improvement in speed.

Does not justify upgrade cost from 6+, Mr fanboy.

Haven't watched the keynote. Is the charging magnetic now? Does it have the pushy screen people were talking about and did they introduce a stylus? Also is it still bendy lol? Real man on the street here, big words lol.
