Apple tv I know of, any cheaper way to do it? Need it pronto too if possible.

hdmi cable is the cheapest option but not exactly streaming.

Have HDMI's coming out of my ears already. Was thinking like £10-£20 cheap?

I use "Plex Media Server" and can't fault it.

I can stream movies etc wirelessly for free to my LG HD TV from Macbook Air.

Assuming you have a wifi network, just get an Apple TV. It's £50 ish, and you literally plug it in, turn it on, and off you go. About the best bit of kit Apple make I reckon

Plex will do the job for free though!
