Werhooo!! I just got an invite...right after i decided that i might actually wait for the Nexus 5 or even try the Huawei P8. smash

Its not transferable which is annoying so i did what any man would do and ordered it anyway......with a kevlar cover.

I was pretty miffed at being charged €20 for delivery as well (standard). Total bill was €445.

For info. I ordered my oneplus one in August 2014 on an invite from a fellow pher, i was about 40,000 in the list for oneplus2 invites, both on the same email address. Not sure which one of those got me this invite but maybe it will help you get some idea.

Oh well, i shouldnt complain about getting the invite (i was really curious about the nex5)otherwise i risk being lynched on this thread. Ill update when it arrives.

You might have a long wait. On the Oneplus FAQs page they say it might take up to three weeks to ship, and while it probably won't be that long mine is still pending shipping, ordered on the first of September.

Ahhhh I want my phone! [/tantrum]

I remember the one only taking a week, but i guess times have changed.

I had better get on replacing the broken screen in my one (my fault), and my z1 compact (stupid 11 month old) then.

Yeah, my One took four days to be dispatched but then got to me the next day when using standard shipping. It was well documented that the express shipping wasn't worth it for the One, but it looks like it is worth it for the Two. On the Oneplus forums, it seems those that have ordered their phones anytime in the last week with express shipping are getting them sent direct from China.

Anyway, I'm sure they'll get shipped eventually.

Still waiting for mine too didn't go for express shipping after the experience with the one, but perhaps I should have!

Fun fun :-)

Ordered mine Thursday and it cleared customs this afternoon, so hopefully a day or two to go. They are being shipped from China by DHL straight to customers.

Will admit, this is bringing back memories of the completely shambolic OPO delivery timings.

As I said above, it seems anyone who ordered anytime in the last week with express shipping has had it shipped, whereas the people who went for standard shipping are having to wait.

I'm willing to give Oneplus the benefit of the doubt on many things but I'm not impressed by this. They should be shipped in the order they were ordered.

Apparantly it's the same as last time smile

But reading all the above suggests not.

If anything, you'd think it would be the other way around. All UK stock would be sent 'express', but all regular orders would be sent by China.

Really odd confused

Yup. Only the actual shipping should have been different not the handling.

I think they need to sort their systems out a bit. I ordered one on 01/09/15 and went straight to 'pending shipment' and hasn't changed since.

I ordered one from the wife's account on 03/09/15 and it's still showing as 'processing'. She did however receive a text from DHL yesterday with tracking number and a parcel went through clearance in China yesterday so presuming this is her phone.

Both were ordered with standard delivery and no accessories. I'm in no rush as we're both still happy with our One's but interesting how they give out invites / process orders!

I must admit, I like to avoid the OP forums - I don't think I've seen so much fanboyist fawning and wanton misdirection since the last time I visited xda.

As Alex said above, I also am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt but I certainly don't think I'll be back for a third bite of the cherry, judging by their somewhat sharp business practice.

Just got totally mugged off on the online chat. A load of excuses, and then when I asked if my conversation could be brought to someone more senior they went silent. 15 minutes later the chat auto-ends and although I ticked the 'email a transcript of this chat' box nothing has appeared in my inbox.

I'm a little bit angry.

In fairness, when I was buying a new phone I was between opinions on a few phones. Particularly the OnePlus One and the Sony Xperia Z2.

One of the things that really got me more interested in the Sony was that I saw a thread on those forums where the consensus was that the Sony was the better phone and the OnePlus only had the advantage of being cheaper. I've never even seen the OnePlus so I don't know if my choice of Z2 was the right one, but I've been pleased enough.

To be honest, I don't actually need a new phone. I like the idea of the OPT, plus I'm a sucker for bling and the Kevlar cover flicked the right switch for me.

I'm not really a spec-junkie, my phone use is best described as 'occasional' - it amounts to Facebook, WhatsApp, calls and texts basically, so it is a completely 100% frivolous purchase.

That said, as I type this (on a PC - not my OPO, I hasten to add!), the idiom of "fool me once, shame on you - fool me twice, shame on me" is tearing around my head unabated. I knew exactly what I was letting myself into with OP from my experience with the OPO, yet I allowed myself to be suckered in with the shiny shiny with the OPT.

I shall 'suck it up', there's no use in complaining. It shan't happen a third time!
