OnePlus 2 - Invites and chatter

I don't like the invite system (as I am not good at waiting) but it's a great way of building hype.

I got an email yesterday confirming that they were sending me one in the coming days

And as I say above, I already have the Kevlar back. The only downside is that the back becomes irrelevant once I put a proper case on it.

I'm expecting an invite or 2 in the coming days, so happy to share them.

I'm going to hold back the card invite that I have in case we get one for Kinky Junior for xmas. It's valid until December.

I am about 500,000 on the list. It's going to be a long wait.

Reviews are doing well so far though, so probably worth it.

Yeah, I had a good play with it at the UK event before the doors opened and the more I think about it, then more I'm convinced

And I never saw myself as a fanbhoi for anything!

So I was happy to use up my invite yesterday, but luckily got the email from the OnePlus folks before I had a chance to use my invite

I think it's the metal edge that I am most excited about. I really don't like the sandstone back and sides on the One, and to be honest I'd pay £250 to have the One wrapped in metal and wood, so to have other improvements added in too - exciting prospect.

i was down to 8000 in the list but back upto about 14k now i hope i get one soon as well i need a phone as im without a phone

I thought they made it quite clear the reserve list was, well, the reserve list. I know invites are supposed to be being sent out mid august but that's to early forum supporters, competition winners and the like isn't it.

I'm about 20,000th in line on the reserve list and I'm not expecting an invite until late August or more likely mid September. I hope I'm wrong, but invites weren't exactly handed out willy nilly before and I don't see why it would be any different this time around.

I really, really want one of these but my Z2 is perfectly good still and I'm supposed to be trying to save money. A few hundred quid here and there multiplies too quickly

They've apparently 'had some problems' and are now rolling out the invites very slowly, so I'll be amazed if people have any invites to give away in the next month at least.

As with the One, OP have created loads of hype and now they're failing to actually deliver. It all came good in the end with the One and I'm sure it will with the Two, but I'm not expecting to get my hands on an invite for another couple of months at least. Might even be Christmas before I get my hands on the phone, although I hope it isn't that long.

I've still got my 1 unused invite, which I'll keep hold of, but am due some more, but not received any as yet. I'll update here as soon as I receive some to share.

Have you heard of any others going out? I've heard of people like yourself that have helped in some way getting them, but no indication of the '30-50 times' amount that were send out for the OPO as the CEO promised...

I'll be 100% honest, other than the 'formal' invite cards (credit card style which I've got), I actually don't know of anyone who has received an e-invite via the normal processes.

Of course that's not to say they are going out; I'm just not aware of any, and I've not seen any reliable comments from the forums.

But that all said, I hope to have an inside track in the coming weeks

Forgot to mention that Carl said earlier today that invites will dramatically ramp up in 3 weeks time.

How does the handset feel in the hand (without a case)? Compared to say a Z3, or S6? Is the metal the nice cool sort of feel you get from those devices?
