Although I want an invite asap my OnePlus One is still going strong and I would probably be okay with waiting a few more months before getting mine...

Mrs. Kinky is getting my OPO - a great upgrade for the Moto G which she currently has.

How does the handset feel in the hand (without a case)? Compared to say a Z3, or S6? Is the metal the nice cool sort of feel you get from those devices?
To be honest, I've no idea comparing it to other devices, but there are tons of videos doing exactly that.

In terms of feel, it certainly looks and feels much more premium than the OPO. Sizing is identical, but the OPT has a slightly more rounded back than the OPO (due to bigger battery I guess).

Kinky, comparing it to the OPO how is the battery life of the Two?

That's the $1M question I want answering myself smile

At the moment I get about 3 days on the OPO. The current Oxygen OS is not truly optimised for the battery, but the next update apparantly is, which is due in the next few weeks.

Quite happy to update once I've got mine and played.

Do you need an invite still to buy one?

I was just browsing looking at accessories and put a 64gb into my basket, pressed paypal and asked me to log in to paypal to pay.
would it put a order in if I continued or would I be stopped for a code or something?
(I'd try myself but I'm not purchasing one yet)

Just tried it myself and it won't let you add it to the cart without entering an invite code, so yes - you do frown

yes as Mr Happy says.

On a side-note, I received an email from the OP folks today to ask me if I wanted the tracking number for my delivery. So it's imminent bounce

Hah thanks! frown

2nd question, is it worth paying the extra tenner for a UK supplier or is it relatively quick delivery if I wait for an invite?

You can't buy one without an invite.

The only time the £10 comes into play is if you want it sent express delivery. The irony being the free option comes quicker than the express yes

I haven't tried buying it but: http://www.mobicity.co.uk/oneplus-two-64gb-in-blac...

Edit: If anyone has a invite for the 64gb I would appreciate it smile

Yeh I did yesterday yikes

There's another website that offers it with a near 5* rating from 1400 reviews or something.
I'm just holding out a week or so for an invite or going through this other place.

My phone is on it's last legs, it needs charging 3x a day and that's with a new battery.
Have to hard reset it daily to get things to work like internet rolleyeslaugh

Hey matey,

Have you received yours now? The reviews seem mixed - half of them say it's the best thing since sliced iPhones, and the rest say it misses the mark - very interested to hear what an owner with 'hands on' thinks.

ta!

Yeah, it arrived on Monday smile

But a bit of a #FAIL ..... it takes a nano-sim. I honestly never thought to check. The OPO takes a micro-sim.

Anyway, sim ordered from three which arrived today, so I'll call Three tomorrow to migrate my number across smile

But that all said, I had a long play with it before the London launch event and loved it. I have to be honest, my use of it is fairly minimal ...... occasional calls and texts, photos, social media, emails, and occasional gameplaying. And most when I'm on a wireless network. Hence why I get about 3 days battery life from the OPO.

But I personally love it. I know it's technically a step down in some respects from the OPO - but that does not bother me at all.

I appreciate that's not the most technical of reviews - there's plenty of those on the web.

I should stress I'm not a fanbhoi smile

Really? In what way?

From what I read I guess I'd consider not having Cyanogen OS and a slightly worse battery life is a step down but that's about it isn't it? And even then, The Cyanogen thing is very subjective, I'm guessing it wouldn't bother many people.

There's no NFC, the processor is not as fast, Oxygen does not do it for me (yet). Never liked V1.

Sure it's got 4 gig memory, but it needs between 2 and 3 just for the OS (hence putting 4 in).

Again, I'm not a power user, so don't really bother me.
