I was very happy with the Amazon Prime package before ... but yesterday they announced that Amazon Prime Music is now also included at no extra cost.

Bye bye Spotify Premium, that's going to save me £9.99 per month - thank you Amazon !

Nice.

I still buy CD's but this is handy too. If the selection is good I can see Spotify taking a kicking.

Sonos seems to work on mine, I simply added music source: Amazon Music

Thanks for the heads up on this, I'll have a look tonight to see how the music libraries compare for what I've got on Spotify.

Prime pays for itself for me for the free deliveries, let alone the movies, the cloud and now the music. If only they paid proper tax, I'd love 'em!

I hope Google Play do the same with movies.

Mine too, but I can only see my existing purchases and not the prime music streaming?

You must remember those silvery things that sometime only have music on instead of video or games.

I'd stop, but any d/l's are still MP3, very little is available lossless and seeing as my whole collection is flac I thought I would keep it that way. Also, CD's are often cheaper than buying the album as a d/l (at the least for the old man music I listen to).

Yeah, seems to be by design, Amazon will push their own product soon now doubt.

They only have a small library at the moment, so probably geared more towards more mainstream popular music for now, possibly driven by sales on their download service. I hope they have got all their licensing and reports all sorted cos they are a right pain in the ass.

I've read this has been live in the US for a year without any sign of streaming prime songs to Sonos players, so I'm not holding my breath.

The popular stuff is there, I've loade mine with Foo Fighters and Manics albums, but once you start to go off into some lesser known or '6 music playlist' type stuff, things aren't there.

Father John Misty
La Roux
Matt Berry
Kate Tempest

Still enough there to be useful, I've knocked my Spotify back to a free account. £10 a month saved, so in man maths thats Prime paid for in 8 months, not including anything else.

Is this a streaming service only or can you download an MP3 with the Prime subscription? I currently have the trial running and the Amazon Music PC app is only giving me the option to stream 30 second clips or pay 99p for the download.

A million plus at the moment and growing.

I'm happy enough - had a root through it over the last week or so and they only thing they dont seem to have that i'd listen to is Slayer.

I had that problem too, but it was because weirdly my Prime subscription was on amazon.com and not amazon.co.uk. It did some sort of weird import thing and it worked ok after that. It was on the amazon main site under settings.
