Apple Appstore very slow........

I am not a fan of apple products, but my neighbour is having trouble with her IPad.

Is the app store particularly slow at the moment?
It is taking hours to download an app - say BBC iplayer or BBC weather..

This doesnt seem right.

Any hints or tips to make this faster?

The exact same problem here, just to let you know. It took about half an hour to download Windows 10, but downloading a 40MB app update on iPad is taking hours or just failing.

Status here says OK. Take with pinch of salt as sometimes there are issues by page says OK. Major down times do appear though.

Could be your ISP, could be DL limits, could be a routing/DNS issue.

Don't Apple use Microsoft's cloud? That might be a touch busy today.

I have had this problem since 8.4. Try disconnecting from wireless network, forget wireless network and then reconnect. Seems to cure it for a while.
