£200 mobile phone
Discussion
I've been looking for a Galaxy S5 around £200 but they still are a little higher. I'm looking at an equivalent as I want a good camera on this one. Been running an s3 since launch and rooted on CyanogenMod. The thing is almost finished.
What are these Vodafone's, moto G and Oneplusone like in comparison?

I bought from China on aliexpress. It has been good and has impressed people who are techy. Quality feels good, signal is good, GPS seems ok but not fully tested that. Spec seems to be honest except I have scratched the screen on the camera bezel of another Be Touched 2 and slightly doubt the Gorilla Glass but can't prove that but they are not listed on the Cornings [sic] website. I benchmarked it with two different apps and that all holds up. I paid around £115-20 so for that if it is pretty amazing.
Heck of a phone for the money. In the end I pre-ordered a (Huewai) Honor 7; with the money-off promotion they were running it just scraped in to the "£200 phone" criteria.YarisSi said:
As promised it is .... 3G. Guessing 4G must be on the cards
Cheers for confirming - as I expected. Now swithering between TPO and ID (Carphone Warehouse)....moral standpoint vs. data speed. I'll choose when the Honor is finally delivered! dave_s13 said:
Already mentioned but the Vodafone smart ultra 6 is stonking for the money. Can you buy a better spec phone for £125?

Nope, you can't. Basic specs are excellent - SD615 (octocore?), 2gig ram, 16gig internal, SD card, 5.5" 1920x1080 screen, 13mp camera (Sony) with LED flash. Virtually stock Android (just a few Vodafone apps that barely count as bloatware).Posted from my smart 6 ultra
The spec is somewhere between the two Wiley Fox models, but priced lower than the £130 Wiley.

I think I prefer the Moto G for being a bit smaller, and it's fine, even the 8gb/1gb RAM version.
I just chopped up my existing micro sim and it worked fine. Can't say I like Vodafone particularly but they are great for me with the sure signal box and rain friends and family discount. Besides, you can unlock them on eBay for a few quid so it's not like you're tied down to them.
Had mine a week or so now and it is brilliant, smooth as you like and the camera ain't too bad at all. It's a big bh though, fortunately I have shovels for hands.

Righto sick of how sluggish my Moto G 4G 8gb is now.
Best 4G handset for around £200? still One+?
Which model? We've got a couple of 2013 ones that still feel as fast as day 1. All 16GB ones though, don't know if that should make a difference?Best 4G handset for around £200? still One+?
The one plus is another matter entirely in terms of specs. The Moto G should be used for what it is, a decent low end phone for the occasional surfing, email and picture. It'll struggle if you start installing apps that take up background memory and stuff.

It was fine under the old OS but since the new one it's become sluggish as hell.

It is, but check under "Technology": http://www.phonearena.com/phones/OnePlus-One_id860... if it's on the same band as your phone network. Is the One+ 4G?

Save yourself £20, £179. Very powerful, one of the thinnest phones in the world, great screen, beautifully built, so easy to carry.
Only downside is only 16gb, and battery doesn't last long, but then it has a fast charging system (one hour to fully charge). I've also got a fast charging battery pack for it.

Don't forget OS. The OnePlus has a great OS. Color OS (Oppo) isn't great. And way behind on updates, especially on their non-top end phones.Save yourself £20, £179. Very powerful, one of the thinnest phones in the world, great screen, beautifully built, so easy to carry.

Choices are:
OnePlus One
Moto G 4G 3rd gen
erring towards the Moto as i'm impressed with how my current first gen 4G is holding up physically, and the 16GB 3rd gen has alot more RAM to cope with the new OSs

I have no experience on the hardware of the 3rd gen Moto G, but the OnePlus is pretty high end.
don't forget though, there is a size difference:
