PC slowing down

Win 10, in-place upgrade from 8.1, but the issue was there before I upgraded

MB looks fine and the Asus boards have pretty comprehensive on board diagnostics which aren't showing any error conditions

To close this topic off

Now back in the UK. Did a rebuild with a new SSD and Windows 7, that ran OK for a couple of days, so did a clean install of Win 10 and spent a shedload of time getting everything reinstalled and configured as I like it on this dev box

That's been running and sleeping over the past 24 hours and seems OK now, so those who said "reinstall Windows" were quite right. I had sort of hoped that the days of clean installing Windows regularly were behind us

Yep, done absolutely everything suggested here, complete reinstall of Windows was the last resort
