Nick,
When do you plan on having the website completed ('Contact Us' is still absent) and secure?
I was tempted to purchase a Swift, but with the missed launch and incomplete & insecure website my temptation has gone.
Probably so tts like us dont bombard them with inane questions When do you plan on having the website completed ('Contact Us' is still absent) and secure?

While there's reasons why https is good, I dont think Wileyfox are actually selling via their own website? The registration seems to be ssl though
I was planning on buying here next week: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Wileyfox-SIM-Free-Smartpho...

There's nothing on that site that would make me think 'INSECURE!"!!!!ONE!!; and run away, my details are registered with them for updates and I'd like to buy one.
I'm not going to post the specific issue, but I would have mailed Wileyfox about it but I revert you back to the earlier lack of contact methods.Hi GaryGlitter and Andy-XR both
We'll have the Contact Us segment up and running in the next few days. Re site security, we do plan to sell on site using secure check-out pages in due course. The site will receive continuous development over the coming months as we grow.
Apologies for any inconvenience.
Cheers, Nick

Swift is a Samsung module, Storm is a Sony unit. Both have Face detection, slow-mo video, touch focus, zero shutter lag, panorama, HDR, geo-tagging, auto-exposure and live filters. RAW I will check on, but I suspect not.

Nick
And will it shoot RAW?

It's sold on the website as a Sony camera?Cheers, Nick

Nick, whats up with the camera, is it as laggy as what reports are saying or are they (read I) expecting too much for the price point?

Back again!
Al 3 of those handsets are good ones - not used a N5 yet, but it's bound to be pretty good. I have been hands on with an X Play and it's got great build quality. The Storm is a more determinedly privacy/customisation proposition however.
I just downloaded Nokia Here onto my Swift and it's running fine, as it should. Not tried Waze yet, but Google Nav works a treat too.

Hi BigsimonY
We did have a short supply chain delay, yes. We are also a small startup so our coverage of social media is something of a work in progress. You are however quite right, it wasn't good enough. We are beginning to get better now.
As re the handset (Swift) it'll be back in stock this week (we sold out). It was software engineered in Europe with Cyanogen, so works cleanly with all Android Apps compatible with 5.1, which it runs alongside Cyanogen 12.1
Not a rebranded variant of the Turkish handset, although much is similar. Ours comes with Cyanogen which has a number of uniques which may or may not appeal. Appreciate it may not be the phone for you, but apologise for the lacklustre beginning on the social.
Cheers, Nick
Very refreshing to see someone from the company active on social media, and very big of you to acknowledge a slow start to the reply's. Im still very much interested in your Storm Handset. Its a 3 way race between Moto X Play, Storm, or top end of budget Nexus 5X. I'm not sure the nexus 5x is going to be £130 better than the Storm so its most likely really between the Storm or X play . My biggest concern is will it run Nokia here/Waze/google nav. We did have a short supply chain delay, yes. so the Wileyfox Swift has been delayed till 30th of September. Not getting too much love on Facebook for there lack luster replies to technical questions etc. I have a Chinese phone, a UMI Zero. Its been awful. google Nav, Nokia Here and Waze don't work. GPS is shocking. Even the check in function on FB doesn't work with it. I asked if the above would work with the Swift or more importantly the forthcoming Storm. Waited a week for a response, when i got one i was told...."we don't know". Not exactly what you want to hear, also given its a new company relying on social media for promo you'd think they would be faster at responding and have better answers. Also rumors are circulating its simply a re-branded Turkish handset.
Hey - the OS and bits takes up approx. 4.87Gb - we have kept other bloatware to a complete minimum.
What's the Storm/Swift like, or I guess, what's your version of Cyanogen like, how heavy is it with onboard storage?

Final one! My S4 with Lollipop needs 6.8 Gigs of space for the OS. On a 16 GB phone that's quite hefty, though I have a micro SD card. What's the Storm/Swift like, or I guess, what's your version of Cyanogen like, how heavy is it with onboard storage?

Who'd want RAW on a mobile? Memory capacity is at a premium and RAW images are typically pretty darn big.
Me, for one. And a good chunk of amateur photographers. Given that Google and most of the major players are releasing phones with Camera2API enabled, there must me some demand.Given that any photo's I take are automatically backed up next time I hit wifi and that a 64GB class 10 MicroSD card is only £17 (plus 32GB onboard with the Storm) 128GB should be enough of a buffer.
One of the reasons I only look at phones with a microSD slot. Memory is cheap now.
For me, not having Camera2API is an issue. It's a feature I want at the end of the day.

I would agree.
If I didn't see the videos and pictures my colleagues SGS6 produces.
Is this the supersized s6? I'm tempted with an S5 as it still has removable storage. It's older tech but the camera doesn't seem to be too far behind the s6. Alternatively splash out on an iPhone 6 and get money back when I trade inIf I didn't see the videos and pictures my colleagues SGS6 produces.
And - hate to be boring - but how does the thing actually perform as a PHONE? You know, that making and receiving calls thing that NO INTERNET REVIEW OF A fkING MOBILE PHONE EVER fkING MENTIONS.
My Nexus 4 has stE reception indoors, I'm told Motorolas are generally a lot better, how does this compare?

I don't know about the 6s,but the S6 is in another league compared to the 6 and S5.Received mine today - Swift not Storm - (which I know is not the 'after a week' feedback requested, but anyway...)
So far, so good.
Background... My trusty rom'd Galaxy S3 refuses to die, but my daughter chasing me for a hand-me down was the minimal impetus required to look for a new phone.
Whatever I looked at, I thought... just a bit more and I can get X phone. And then if I'm spending that... just a bit more. And before you know it, its over 600. Struggled to justify that, but having decided that it was one extreme or the other, decided to go cheap and cheerful.
So first impressions based on a few hours of use:
Screen - bright! I know it doesn't have the highest defn, but text and images look clean and 'HD' to me.
Battery - other than removable, too early to tell if its long lasting, but that will be a big one for me.
Form factor - for me, this seems about the right size - I'm not a fan of the phablet style.
Speed - on paper, its 'comparatively' low spec but moving around and playing games (eg Asphalt 8) is smooth and quick
Camera - reasonable, and possibly so far my only reservation, but need more time to play with different settings
Space - 16gb is limited, and max 32 Gb on the SD card, but sufficient for me.
Sound - I only get sound through one of the 2 x speakers... which is odd. And the location is easy to block out when playing a game.
Sims - 2 x sims is a bonus
Calls - seems fine for making calls, but then I've never had a phone that hasn't been fine for that.. network more of an issue than phone in my experience.
Lack of wireless charging or NFC certainly not an issue for me, but could be important for some..
So all in all, nice screen, nice size, perfectly fast, camera 'ok', and sound only from 1 speaker (perhaps there is only 1 and the second grill is for looks). Anyone else able to confirm on that front?
Overall, spot on for the money I'd say.
Edit - Old Nick, can you confirm on the speaker issue please. Thx
