Your speed boost is on the way…
We’ve already started boosting speeds in your area.
We’ll be in touch by the end of November to tell you when your speed upgrade is ready.
If only they could speed up the Tivo box a little. The YouTube app is so slow to load you've forgotten what you loaded it for in the first place.Your speed boost is on the way…

The headline speed isn't the big thing for me right now - so many families have half a dozen or more devices trying to get online over the same connection, and having that amount of bandwidth means that there's no noticeable slowdown for anyone.
Our broadband is speeding up in November, but I can't remember the login details.

They did when I got 150Mb. It's not that great as it's incredibly rare to find a server that will allow you to download anywhere near that speed anyway.
The small print mentioned it wouldn't affect contract terms:The legal stuff
There is no change to customer minimum term contracts with speed increase
Oooh, mines ready :-) Not sure whether to bother or not though. Currently have the 100mb broadband and as there were problems with the cable in the street when I moved in, combined with an awful winter and snow everytime they were due to sort it out (which caused a 6 week delay in me getting TV and Internet!) they laid a whole new cable to the house and with the exchange cabinet being literally across the road, it regularly runs at 80mb+ even at peak times whenever I do a speed test. Decisions, decisions!

You may or may not be aware (because they've kept this rather quiet tbh) but free upgrades are now available to all who choose to opt in.
I.e., if you're on 100Mbit you get 150Mbit, if you're on 150Mbit you'll get 200Mbit.
What are you waiting for?
I upgraded to 100 meg, I'm still getting downspeeds of sub 30 meg and upspeed of 3 meg. No different AT ALL to what I got when I was on their 50meg service.I.e., if you're on 100Mbit you get 150Mbit, if you're on 150Mbit you'll get 200Mbit.
What are you waiting for?
What is going on with that?

I did it a week ago - not sure - I have a superhub, which is total st, so its in modem mode and I use my own router. As far as I can tell not one single thing has changed since I upgraded...
Ask them for a new hub, they'll try and charge but just haggle the delivery cost down. Or complain your speed is st and you want it sorting, along with a new hub. michael243 said:
