In order of greatness (left to right). S2, small Nokia thing (was amazing, could fit in the jonny pocket), bit bigger and newer (first colour screen thinking back) Nokia thing, wide Nokia, Motorola (first phone), Nokia that I thought was great at the time but isn't as great as the rest.
No idea what the names are. There was another Nokia but I can't find it. That would fit in between the wide Nokia and the Motorola.

My most memorable mobile was also my first, the NEC P3. I had just turned 18 (just left school although was still attending part-time to pick up an additional higher, circa 1990/91) and was selling cheap cars through the classifieds in the evenings); I decided I needed a mobile and remember being sat down and grilled like a job interview before they signed me up on a contract - from memory it was circa £30 just for the line rental. I agonised over this phone (which was a new model) and the Motorola which everybody else seemed to have at the car auctions.

Yeah they were good.My light use Galaxy S4 mini has only lasted 18 months & it's already struggling because of Andriod & app updates.
It's just come to the end of the contract. Built-in 1.5 year obsolescence?

I wish I could say that my first phone was a DynaTAC, but I'm a bit young to have had one of those.
Boringly it's my iPhone 6, it's the first iPhone I've had that actually works as quickly as I think they should, the fingerprint unlock is the best thing ever as it means I can keep little hands for emailing my boss emojis whilst not looking like I'm hiding things from my wife.
The battery lasts as long as I need it to and of course it does all the usual smartphone stuff, but it's my first 4G phone so it actually works well away from wi-fi unlike my iPhone 4 which was hopelessly slow.
I've had some others over the years that I though my were good, I had a string of Nokia N series phones, mobile MP3 was great at the time, but whilst they were a smartphone in the simplest sense 'Edge' was every bit worse than 3G than, 3G is worse than 4G and no wifi option.
I had the Nokia indestructaphone everyone had, yeah the battery lasted a week, but charging your phone whilst you sleep is hardly a hardship.
Had a couple of BBs boring, businesslike and I seem to recall everything had to be routed through the RIM network and it failed often.
I tried android for a few years, all Samsungs, I always felt that thier battle with Apple over patents meant they were overly complex, everything seemed like a work around, too many bloat apps and too many apps that seemed to do the same thing, 2 for music, 2 for videos etc.

iPhone 6, but it could be any modern smartphone you're happy with (although I absolutely hate my work HTC. It's a hideous creature)

A garage once called me whilst I was sitting on the toilet at work and quoted 6k worth of work. I hung up the call and Googled (from my phone, obviously) the job and got it down to 2k before finishing on the toilet.
If you think your old Nokia can do better than that, you deserve your old Nokia.

HTC Desire. Was the first phone I had where I transitioned from feature phone to smart phone. It taught me how to root, load on new launchers, side load .apks etc. Thoroughly wonderful phone for its time and much better than the iPhone that was out alongside it.
A very close 2nd place is my first phone. Ericsson T10. I felt like a liberated 16 year old... until it got nicked a couple of months later.

But the Moto interface only had one positive - great shortcuts system. Everything else on it was dire. I had the V525, a V600 and the V3. Same lousy, lousy interface on all of them.
