Cheshire police scam, kindle locked out

My boys kindle has been locked out by this malware.
Have looked at the net but can't seem to get rid of it.

Kindle fire hd is the tablet, bought in 2012.

Any ideas how to get it into safe mode, or how to delete this malware would be great ,thanks
