I know this is a VERY cheeky thing to ask but does anybody have a unwanted graphics card they wouldn't mind giving to me..?

All it needs to be is PCIe and have a VGA connection, and working (hehe)

Why not - I have a selection I have been meaning to offload - but none would be more than a tenner on ebay

They have however been sitting a while so I can't guarantee they will work and have no driver disks - so caveat emptor - but they are on my mother in laws dining table and I am away this weekend so you wouldnt get it / them for a week - but if you get no better offers all I would ask is the value of the stamp in a collection tin when you get the chance smile

Ill post with specs when I get a chance to check them which should be tomorrow (but no promises - it depends on traffic but should be ok)

I didnt think anybody would reply! The specs of them dont matter, I just need a card with a VGA connection because I'm, 99% sure that the old card is dead, a week is perfectly alright and I think that's very fair in return biggrin

Ah bugger - I got Mrs Paolow to pick them up and on inspection they are all either AGP or PCI - though I could have SWORN I had at least one that was PCIe...
Sorry for raising your hopes - but I am afraid I cannot help after all frown

The specs of it doesn't matter, as long as it works and has a VGA connection tongue out

PSU will need to be capable of running it.

It needs two 6-pin connectors if I recall correctly. Although a 300W PSU should be enough ( link )

I wouldn't run it on anything less than a 500.

Good to know - I could have thrown some adapters in if you only had one PSU power cable
