Just for home use. The 5 sheet Ryman's one I have at the moment is useless, keeps over heating and cutting out.

I've been looking at 10-12 sheet shredders, but reviews say that is unrealistic and its more like 5-7 sheets.

Any ideas? Rexel and Fellowes seem to be the most highly recommended. Needs to fit under a desk!

is my current choice....

I stopped buying the Rexel ones after needing to buy a new one every 18 months or so. Probably gone through about 5.

Bought a Swordfish 800XXC in January 2014 (although about £50 more than I'd been spending on the Rexels, and it's still going strong. Only overheated & auto-stopped once when I had a drawer full of papers to shred. The other benefit is that it cuts into confetti-like pieces (2mm x 12mm) which means much less changing of the bin.

If you don't need the micro-shredding, then most of their range cuts to 4-5mm x 35-45mm - and something like the 800XC would be equivalent to the Rexel in your link.

Only bought one shredder since setting home/office up around 9 years ago and that was a Fellowes. Still going strong. Would recommend for home or office.
