I've noticed that I have quite a lot of lag (about 1-2 seconds) when opening my gallery now - I do have a lot of photos, but managing the gallery isn't easy...

Is it just me?

On an SD card? Could be starting to have issues.

I upgraded to Nougat and have noticed the performance and battery life both have improved significantly. Love the blue light filter as well

It should notify you.
Be aware that they usually don't do everyone at the same time though, and it'll probably do it only on WiFi.

I wouldn't get too excited about getting your network-locked S7 or S7 Edge updated yet. Samsung have released the base image but not network modified ones. For each carrier, Samsung create a custom version, they then send that to the carrier for approval, the carrier takes a look, suggests changes and they go back and forth until they settle on an image. Once it's approved, then it'll get delivered OTA.

In summary, I'd be surprised if you see EE approve it before the end of March.

Installed it today - UK bought S7 Edge but currently in Switzerland. I didn't get a notification but when I manually checked for an update it was there. Seems fine, gallery is much quicker, and the camera interface is simpler.

Just checked manually and it downloaded it and installed. Notifications screen looks good and the mail app is cleaner too.

Can anyone recommend a screen protector that is compatible with a Spigen case? The three I have tried all press on the screen protector & lift it up off the screen.

Trim about 2mm off the corners of the protector before fitting and it will solve the problem. I've had the same issue on all my phones lately. If you are careful you can't tell the different.

I have one of these and no problem with it not staying but. I have managed to get a couple of marks on it but nothing that makes me want to ask for a replacement. It takes about 18 hours to "cure" and shrink into place but it really was easy to fit you just have to trust that the bubbles will just evaporate out.

Just noticed it's out of stock on the link I bought from.

Also no update for me on my vanilla dual sim s7 edge. I wonder if they'll be later with patching this model because of that.

I've got one of those too, it's fantastic.

When applying it, make sure you have plenty of time, decent light and you also need patience.

I must say, I don't like Nougat. Its less clear (notifications panel, for a start, though emails are the same). Its the font; tall and thin and nasty. Harder to see from a distance. Everything seems cluttered, too busy.

There's issues with the UI as well. When using Driving, I could swipe down the top panel and below the Driving panel there was a 'Stop Driving' bit I could click to bring me out of it (to close it). Its not there. I can't actually quit it any more! I have to go into Driving and just hit back, back, back until it comes out. Then the icon at the top finally disappears.

Can I go back to the previous OS/Build? I don't see an option to do so in the Update bit.

Bear in mind the screen resolution defaults to FHD instead of WQHD after the update; this might affect the points you mention, compounded by font size changes.
