Ive had a few days with the Edge now, it really is a pretty phone and great to hold.
The battery however is shocking, I've charged it twice a day since having it!
That's certainly not been the common concensus - the battery life has been excellent for me even under heavy youtube/iplayer usage. Maybe you have something running in the background that's sucking the life out of it? You definitely should get a full day without any issues. The battery however is shocking, I've charged it twice a day since having it!
Had mine since release and can't fault it, yet!

I think I might turn off that display too...
I've got the fingerprint security option in place, but quite regularly, it won't let me use it citing "security policy" - Enter PIN instead of using fingerprint recognition because of security policy". I haven't identified a specific pattern yet though...
There's loads out there saying that it is a problem, but is there a fix for it?

Yup, fingerprint recognition works really well for me too, would agree that re-inputting them might help.
Never had an issue with the always on display eating my battery (seems to be in line with Samsung's claim of less than 1% per hour) but have found the Bluetooth to eat it up quicker than anything else I've been running

Very happy S7 Edge user.
Always on doesn't drain my battery much at all. The Edge clock display at night is a great feature.
I did find it difficult to hold in one hand and type with thumb. But an original Samsung cover (the one with the window) fixed that.
Also got a wireless charger - both items from https://www.doohickey-hut.com/ which looks a little iffy, but produced the goods (and has good reviews). Items appear to be grey imports from China. The wireless charger needs to be run off the mains, not from USB power - otherwise it fails to provide a charge and seemed to discharge quickly.
Really impressed with the Edge - lovely piece of kit.

I'm really enjoying my S7edge too, I don't miss having an iphone at all and I'm finding it quite easy to navigate around. The camera is fantastic and I have had over 48 hours from one charge.
I have added a spigen thin fit case which doesn't provide a great amount of protection but it makes it a bit grippier https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01AUR0NZE/ref...

Anybody else having lots of problems with sd cards on their S7s?
Googling s7 and unmounting shows lots of people reporting problems, mine doesn't seem to do this after the last update but keeps on losing access to the card (corrupting files etc). Tried formatting card via phone which seemed to help but problem back again tonight. And bizarrely android formatted sd card cannot be read via Windows sd card reader (on Windows 7 or 8.1 pcs, both of which could read fine before formatting) so had a helluva convoluted job getting data on there after the format.
Ordered a new sd card (current one tested to be genuine integral 128gb UHS 80mb/s class 10 from mymemory), a Samsung UHS 48mb/s. If this doesn't fix it assuming that it's the hardware problem people are reporting and phone needs returning, one hell of a pain
