For those still with fast battery drain issues try disabling Chrome through Settings/Apps.

I was having to charge mine at least twice a day with only moderate use and found this suggestion on the Samsung community boards. It's apparently something to do with a software glitch on Samsung's side.

I did it today and so far my battery life is a lot better.

My battery is also shocking.

Yes I'm using Microsoft Edge. If my battery life ends up better in the long run I'll leave Chrome disabled until my phone receives its next update from Samsung.

I’ve disabled Chrome too. Trying Opera Mini, seems decent. I like the ad blocking.

Similar situation with mine, it's almost 2 years old and does get used heavily but I was having to charge twice a day.

Messed about with apps/settings for a while, in the end decided battery was duff rather than my apps draining it.

£8 on ebay for a Samsung battery, an hours fidddling, use of the wifes hairdryer and we're sorted.
Battery life back to how it was from new. Still got 40/50% left at the end of the day now whereas before replacement of would've easily gone to 0%, or needed a recharge.

Which one did you go for? Reviews seem to be mixed so not sure which to buy

Thanks

Can't post a link from my phone but it was item number 262950003688
Seems genuine to me but I guess you never know! Works a treat though.

For £8 it wont be an original. But if it does what you want then who cares. I ordered one for my S5 a year or more ago and I only realised it was a fake when the NFC wouldn't work. I emailed them and they refunded all the money instantly...so they knew it wasn't real.

About £200 through Dodgy & Sons or £260 through Samsung.

Isn't there glass infront of the digitiser on the S7 edge though? Thought that bit was quite cheap to get hold of

I believe (though may be wrong) that the digitiser and screen are sold as a single item.
