I'm currently on the One plan (£15 - sim only 12 months) which was taken out roughly 3/4 years ago; I've not received any communication from Three so far, but don't use a lot of data - could this be why?

It's going to get worse with the the 02 merger.
Just for the record, it's O2 (like, the chemical abbreviation for a molecule of Oxygen), rather than 02 (zero-two).

vodafone 20GB is currently @25% off so that's 30/mth for 12mths. Quidco are offering £85 cashback so I might opt for that as it works out at 23/mth.

For my last month on Three I am seeing if I can fill /dev/null. As long as Vodafone is as good as Three or thereabouts I'll go there for a year.

To go slightly off-topic

I've downloaded easy tether pro and easy tether tablet and connected it.. works brilliantly.

but.. Amazon Prime and Netflix don't work due to there being no connection.

Guess I was expecting too much frown

YouTube and Facebook don't work for me, but general web browsing is ok and my personal allowance according to 3 is not being used when tethered in this way.

I use the work WIFI for browsing but Netflix/Amazon/Youtube are blocked so I use my tethering allowance for these.

was hoping this Easy Tether Pro would get me round this frown

had the letter yesterday. Phoned them today and paying £14 a month now with unlimited text mins and 4gb a month. I use the wifi at home mostly and 4gb is fine.

Not the One plan, but I still have a legacy contract with Three where I pay £9 per month for unlimited data and 500 minutes or texts. This is from the days when texts were capped and nobody had a smart phone so data was unused.

I hope they do not not cancel this.

Is there a trend with those that are getting the letters? i.e. do you tether a lot? Or download a lot of data?

I checked and I never went over my allowance.

Tethered maybe for a couple of weeks a year when on holiday. Used about 2gb a month of data.

Allowance?? I thought the one plan was unlimited everything?

Tethering allowance, which is not unlimited. On my plan it's 4GB for tethering, unlimited everything on the phone itself.

Badly worded!

never went over tethering allowance, used about 3gb data at most a month.

Just noticed that their letter which arrived on 28th Jan is dated 21st. Is this to force people into another month on the new £30 rate which starts on the 25th Feb by making them miss the 30days notice?

Odd. Don't have an issue with that on mine using that particular app. Any particular error message coming up?

Ended up staying with Three. When asking to cancel they offered 4gb data, unlimited calls and texts for £12 a month which I cannot complain about too much smile

That's when trying to access Facebook, YouTube is just so slow as bad connection and nothing loads or plays.

Did you get the paid version or the free one? I belive only the paid one gives you access to Facebook and YouTube. From what I remember anyway.

I've been on the £15 One plan for a few years but really needed a new phone.

Got a very similar deal but for £24 with a new phone. Business only though.
