I think one of the big problems with Prime, is the app. It's not easy to find something, with Netflix it's all in categories and you have the recommended stuff too, but I always seem to spend ages on Prime, just finding something to watch and end up switching over to Netflix.
The latest app update is a bit of an improvement.
The plus side, no extra cost for 4k and the picture is excellent!
I tend to search the website and add to watchlist - makes it way simpler to find stuff.

My TV is not on the list and I also live in France and Spain/

Can you say if this do the job? http://www.amazon.co.uk/Amazon-W87CUN-Fire-TV-Stic...

Would I need to connect via my VPN? or is their content not geographically limited?

Thanks
From the Amazon Instant Video Terms of use:

6. LIMITED TO UNITED KINGDOM AND NORTHERN IRELAND

Due to restrictions placed on us by our content providers, we are currently only able to make the Service available to customers who have an address located in the United Kingdom, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man and a credit card registered at that address. We regret that you may not use the Service if you are outside of these territories without such registered address and payment method. You may not stream or attempt to stream any content under your Prime Instant Video plan from anywhere outside the United Kingdom, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man or to use any technology to obscure or disguise your location. You acknowledge that we may use technologies to verify your location.

So whilst the Fire Stick would be up to the job, it won't work for Video because you are outside the UK and using your VPN is against their rules ..... your call wink

There's no specific mention in the Amazon Music Terms of Use about any geographic limitations.

Thanks for that. Their iCloud music does work anywhere. I was hoping their video might be the same.

I understand that the EU are trying to introduce legislation that will ensure that if you have paid for content, then you can watch it anywhere.

It will probably arrive just after Brexit.

Good to know that the music works anywhere at least.

Apologies for dredging up an old thread if there's a more appropriate one available.

Does Amazon Prime Music seem to be getting worse by the day, in terms of the amount of music on there? More and more stuff seems to be behind the Unlimited paywall.

Whilst that seems on obvious business move I guess I shouldn't be surprised as I assume that was the plan from the start - throw it in with Prime then charge more. Prime Video doesn't seem much better.

It's intentional, it was thrown in free as a reaction to Spotify opening up a free service to stop people walking away from Amazon

Don't worry tho - once you have Unlimited the app will ask you near daily if you want to go up to having Family Unlimited rolleyes

I don't think mine has ever asked me that - but I use Prime Music almost entirely by voice control so I guess I avoid it that way.

If Prime Music has got worse, Prime Reading has improved - I discovered a couple of weeks ago that you're no longer restricted to a book a month, and you can read across all devices.

Prime saves me hundreds of quid a year. Due to where I live, popping to the shops isn't an option, so almost everything has to be delivered. Due to Prime, most now free - next day too... even here.

The book choices for Prime seem to be stuck in a rut. The authors seem all much of a muchness. Most seem romances, or one woman's journey/fight/battle sort of thing. I can't remember a non-fiction book.

The selection of films improved a while back and has stayed at the improved level.

I use music for background and rarely listen to it, so for me it is still good.

One day delivery has extended to two days in many cases, problems with supply being quoted. It might be right.

I've had two disputes with companies and both were supported and rectified in shortish time.

Overall, I'm pleased with Prime and reckon it is fair value.

Deliveroo premium subscription for a year is now thrown in as well.
