F430 heel 'n' toe

So, a question to all the recent F430 stick shift fanboys out there. How many of you have mastered your heel 'n' toe technique for perfect rev matched downshifts? I would say the automatic engine blip you get with the F1 equipped gearboxes is pretty spine tingling - particularly with unplugged exhaust valves - and is one of the most compelling reasons to own one of these cars.

I couldn't heel 'n' toe a manual to save my life but would appreciate someone who can posting a video for comparison purposes?

Remember, although it's referred to as heel and toe, if you have big feet (like me), you can simply use both sides of your foot, ball and little toe-ish. Even though my F1 does it for me, I still enjoy doing it myself, it just feels wrong not doing it!

Indeed - a nice wide trainer means you can control both pedals with ease.

Health and Safety would have a field day with that nowadays. How more spectators weren't killed at those speeds is beyond me

Part of the fun of driving a manual car is getting right! I found it took a little while to learn after the TVR as the F430 has a softer throttle response but now have it nailed. But I'm not going to post a video of my shoes.

Have HnT nailed... not as easy in a RHD 430 as a LHD 430 tho, but part of the enjoyment to learn the best technique

I dont think you can beat a computer. the pleasure of thr F1 box in my 430 was the downshifting (even if just for entertainment!)

Finally found what I was looking for. Manual F430 using heel 'n' toe shifts with a dab of left foot braking thrown in too.

Yes - lhd cars your right foot is has more freedom of movement and you can use your heel unencumbered.... rhd less so due to some wheel arch intrusion. Can work around it no probs tho.

Yeah, that's nasty - Just goes to show, money can't buy you lightning fast reactions and the kind of driving skill that the professionals possess.... That said, anyone can make mistakes, a true professional is just far less likely to make them.
