I've found Mobdro to be a hell of a lot more stable with better quality just recently.
Especially for the footy.

Really?
I found it very often just cuts out after a few minutes on the big games.

**Bump**

Saw this offer on e bay today - looks genuine as its an Argos ad. Most likely 1st generation but if you want a cheap one for £14.15p delivered

Quick question hopefully easy Y/N answer

I have chance of getting a S/H Amazon Fires tick for a tenner. Its the stick and USB Charger thing only No remote. I use KODI but only to stream videos from our NAS storage
I know that I can operate my existing Fire TV with an app on my phone as well as the original remote
Am I right that I can use this this one in another room and it can just be used via a phone app ie doesn't need to be paired with a physical remote ?
I wanted it as a spare for the girls rooms when they visit so they can access I player etc on the Bedroom TV

Yes.
The app is not paired to the remote.
