If you’ve just splashed out on a shiny new OnePlus 3, congratulations, you’ve made a wise smartphone choice.
Sounds like they like it to me. It's half the cost of the equivalent Apple and Samsung too, this appeals to me because I don't buy phones on contract and can neither afford to nor want to spend three quarters of a thousand pounds on a phone. leglessAlex said:

I have no axe to grind. I am waiting for the new iPhone to come out and then I will decide whether to get one, or perhaps something else.

Well, Trusted Reviews in the link I did found ten things wrong with it. Which? magazine didn't much like the other Oneplus models (I can't do a link), the Samsung got better scores and was cheaper.

And....the iPhone 7 will be pretty much the same as the iPhone 6. Zzzz.I have no axe to grind. I am waiting for the new iPhone to come out and then I will decide whether to get one, or perhaps something else.
This is coming from someone who has had every iPhone since the very first iteration.

You may well be right in saying 7 will be very similar to 6.This is coming from someone who has had every iPhone since the very first iteration.
I will have a look when the dust has settled and then make a decision. For complicated reasons, I am using an iphone 4s, having surrendered my 5. I may well buy a 6 or a 6s, if I don't think the 7 is what I want.
Just read that, it appears that is an old review, there have been 2 updates since release that have fixed the bugs that were present at launch.
Out of those 10 issues, only the photo data size one still remains.
For £309 there is nothing that come close. The S7 is almost definitely the better phone but it's also nearly twice the price.

Which Samsung model though? This is supposed to be compared to their flagships, the S7 and S7 Edge, which are most certainly not cheaper. I'm not trying to have a go at you, I just don't really get where you're coming from. It's certainly not a perfect phone, the Galaxy S7 has a better screen and camera in my opinion and almost certainly has better after sales support, but for the money I don't see how the OP3 can be beaten.

Their number 4 item is replicated by pretty much every phone I've had... no signal or weak signal sees the phone boost antenna power to hang on to it resulting in a warm pocket and a decimated battery. So not a problem exlusive to OnePlus.Out of those 10 issues, only the photo data size one still remains.

My finger is hovering over the buy button for a soft gold one to replace my HTC One M8. I mainly do web browsing, social media and YouTube so my M8 is still pretty sufficient to be honest. But I am just bored of it and want something new. I was wanting a Nexus device for the early updates but if rumours are true the cheaper of the two upcoming devices sport similar specs to the OnePlus 3 (1080p display, SD820 and 4 gb of ram) but half the storage. And the rumours are the cheaper of the two will be $459.
I am not even sure if getting new Android versions first is such a pull anymore. I think things are plateauing..

They're re-starting shipping now, so hopefully things should start to accelerate.
I ordered my graphite unit 12/08, DHL confirmed it's in their possession and moving across Poland yesterday.
Should be with me on Thursday.

Just noticed on my OnePlus 3 when on a dark grey (not black) screen there is s horrible unevenness in colour. The top half of the screen is distinctly different in shade, almost yellowish and I can only describe it as looking like back light bleed. Which of course is nonsense as there is no back light. But that's what it looks like.
Doesn't really show on anything else. Every other colour is perfect including white and even light grey. It's just the dark Grey's or near Black's.
Don't think it'll bother me as it's a very specific case but just thought it was odd given it is AMOLED.

hmmm.... appears to be worsening. I can definitely see this gradient-tint from top to bottom. Yellowish up top descending down to a slight pink hue (though the pink may just be a trick of the eye due to the yellow). It was only noticable on a dark background but you can see it on white as well now, especially when using landscape. Its more visible during the night time though, during the day its barely detectable unless on dark grey again. The thing is it seems there are many many people on the OP forums complaining of similar and some of theirs are indeed horrendous. But some have RMA'd 3-4 times and gotten horrible screens each time. So I am reluctant.
