Looks a fairly good phone and cheapish as well, A friend was asking me to look at it (I have a Nexus 6P and have had Nexus devices for a few years now). The thing in my opinion that lets it down is the 3000mah battery, could of done with at least a 3400mah I'd say.

but it charges 60 % in 30 mins so even if you pop home from work you can charge it before going out again and be good to go.

A larger battery would have been nice, especially to avoid a protruding camera unit but the OP1 I still have is only 3,100 and that's been okay.

The ongoing farce with software updates on the OP2 has meant there will be precisely zero chance of me going for a Three.

It's been disappointing as a liked my OPO a lot, and the OPX has not suffered the same lagging/slowdowns/freezes as the OP2. Months after the issues started, I still have to wipe the cache via recovery mode every few days if I want it to remain functional. Otherwise it hangs whenever I get a phone call or a notification. Not great when I'm on call.
I'd said to myself I wouldn't be getting another Oneplus after the Two but I have been less than impressed with the OS on my Samsung, not to mention that time is a great healer/softener.

The OPO is still a great phone, if the 3 was released running Cyanogen then there would be no question of me getting it.

It looks like you'll be able to install CyanogenMod on a OnePlus 3, so there's that. There's an unofficial build out for it already. No need to suffer Oxygen OS.

I ordered the OP3 yesterday in a moment of retail therapy madness as I got wrapped in the whole "just released" thing. Tried to cancel it afterwards (none of the bundles are available to buy, I think I'll wait for the "soft gold" version anyway) and naturally had a nightmare getting anywhere with OnePlus support. Should've known better really.

My OnePlus One has developed a fault with the screen - the glass is coming away from the digitiser (touchscreen) - and OnePlus support have - in time honoured tradition - been almost entirely useless. First they asked me to factory reset the phone, and afterwards they kindly pointed out that the 2 year warranty doesn't cover accidental damage.... it's never been dropped, the glue is just failing.. pretty simple really?

More fool me for buying again from them really!

I'd strongly caution anyone doing business with OnePlus to make sure you don't rely on anything they supply to you. The RMA/ticket process is horrific to deal with.

Did anyone go to the pop up event thing in Shoreditch? I was tempted but crowds and small spaces aren't much fun when you got no legs.

From what I've heard they held it in the smallest shop in London, and there were hundreds in the queue. Guy on the OnePlus forums said he got there at 19:05 and didn't get a phone until just before it finished.

I'm liking the look of this more and more. I will wait for white face/gold version though. Dual sim and dash charge will be very useful for me, but I've never used an android phone before, will it take ages to get to grips with after so many years of iOS?

Depends on each individual, but I was an iPhone user for 7 years until last Dec when I got the OnePlus 2. It didn't take me long to get familiar and the main thing I loved after so many years on iOS was the level of customisation of the home screen. And I would say nowadays the software on Android and iPhone aren't drastically different so there should still be a sense of familiarity.

Also, I've just got an email saying my OP3 is shipped!

Nice one, thanks for that. Anyone have any idea how long the delay on the white/gold model will be?

Start of July apparently, but that's just a strong rumour.

Same here.

Ordered 20:00 on the 14th with an estimated shipment date of the 19th, but got the shipped email today.

Anyone know who the carrier is and what shipping service?

Says Royal Mail in the email near the bottom, the tracking number probably won't work until tonight/tomorrow morning.

You'll wander why it took you so long to switch

Aye, I think the best way to switch is to go to vanilla Android on a Nexus device, but the likes of Oxygen and other very lightly changed OSs should be very easy to get used to. Don't get me wrong, it will probably take a week or so depending on how adaptable you are but I firmly believe it's worth it.

What's people's views on Oxygen? Is it stable enough? Coming from a OPO with Cyanogen, and a Nexus before that I'm hoping it will be ok and fairly vanilla.

My OPO has been having several annoying issues of late, even though I haven't updated it in a while - still on 12.1.1
