You don't, unlike iOS you don't have to have all your app icons on your home screens, just the ones you use most of the time. I only have 4 icons on my home screen though, two of those are folders.
I have done the same. Created folders and dropped all of them in to tidy it up. I can see the logic it just took me a while to adjust.

OK Google Now Launcher was good, but I just installed Nova and that even better quite frankly!

Give it a few more days but looks like i'll be paying for the premium version of this. Its really quite good.

I forgot to mention, with Action Launcher you can set any folder as a cover if you want. It's a really neat feature as you can either tap it to open the cover app, or swipe up to open the folder.

Only being a recent convert from Apple to Android I have never understood the app drawer. Why have 2 copies of all icons?
I only have 4 on my home screen (phone, sms, chrome, camera) but I would like the ability to hide them 4 from the app drawer to tidy it up a bit.

I'm using Apex launcher on my Xperia Z3.

Set up for single screen, with scrollable icon list on the bottom and Minimalistic text for clock/date.

Company logo as wallpaper = sorted.

Nova launcher here.

I was perfectly happy with Google now until one day they decided on a whim to switch the app drawer from a horizontal pager to a vertical scroller with the latest update. No options to switch back to your preferred way of working, like it or lump it.

Google, this is my device, please don't just impose your hipster driven whims on my day to day UI experience.

I didn't really like the persistent search bar across the top. I don't mind having one on one home page, but I don't want it on all of them. Also didn't like that it was basically listening out for "OK Google" all the time. But I did like the google now page that is tucked off to the left.

I've been using Nova for a few years now. I've tried switching to Google Now Launcher and a couple of others but have always gone back to Nova as it just does everything I need from a launcher.

Yahoo Aviate here, it's quite like the Google Now, with an info screen to the left.

Go Launcher full version for me.
It has loads of custom options, and loads of Go Widgets too.
I have had it for about 4 years now, maybe more. I have checked others out, but I go back to Go every time.
I can't be the only one using it, surely, but nobody else has mentioned it as of yet.

Z Launcher - I'm a Windows Phone migrant and don't like the grid of icons thing, much prefer a list of apps.

I want one similar that spells it all out and am using ClockR but its time only.

Last time I looked I didn't trust the developers: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2...

I have used Nova launcher since the early days, does everything I need. If you pay for the pro version you can customise the actions tied to gestures on the home screen so mimic the left swipe on the Google Now Launcher and a whole lot more.

Nova is good. I'm a long time user, and even bought the prime version. You can't go wrong.

Saying that, if you want to try something a bit different, give smart launcher a look. Its pretty, fast and lightweight, and I really like it's auto categorisation features and app searching tool. A pretty underrated launcher for me, but very different from your typical android launcher.

Another Aviate user here as well. I've been through a lot of launches trying them out but this is the one I've stuck with the longest

Nova Launcher on my Nexus 7 but the LG Home launcher on my phone but with the LG store Dark_holic_gb theme, SDAquablue font and the REX Icon set (replacing any non REX icons with the Icon Changer app).
