EE to Three SMS issues

All,

A mate of mine from work has been texting me (Hes on EE) and I don't receive them all of a sudden for the last 5 days, If he sends 20 I will receive 1 maybe 2.

I called three and they instantly asked if he was on EE to which I responded yes, they then said they have a known issue with receiving SMS from any number than has been on EE or is currently on EE.

Got the brother in law to try (hes on EE), he sent me 5 SMS and not received any of them either.

I am receiving SMS from O2 and three no issues.

Anybody else had this in last few days.

Can't be the only person in the country on Three who can't receive texts at all from EE?

tested it this morning, 2 mates sat next to me, one on o2 came straight through, Three one sent not received it nearly 12 hours later.

Three manage to break their network interconnects in all sorts of interesting ways all the time. Give it a month or so and they might fix it.

(Based on them once losing connectivity with an entire continent and taking weeks to get around to sorting it)

Kind of annoying most of my mates us Whatsapp but this one insists on old school SMS.

I'm on 3 and never got a text back from somebody i was offering work to the other day. Any way of working out what network a number is on?

Apparently you can call Three and give them the number.

They said the issue affects any number thats ever been on the EE network so presume it means Orange and T-Mobile.

Just tried it out: sent from EE (ex-Orange number), text received on Three in a second or two.

So either it's fixed or just patchy.

I'm experiencing similar problems where I'm on EE and my friend on Giffgaff (O2) has not been receiving all of my messages, and I don't seem to be receiving all of his either.

Confirmed - somebody sent me a text on Tuesday and it never came through. Them on EE, me on three

My brother is on an Orange contract, I can send/receive texts fine, I'm on Three.

Haven't been in the country for a while anybody else having this issue still?
