Finally managed to download/install on my iPhone SE. It had failed to verify after downloading on home/work/coffee shop connections over the course of a few days. Connected to a US VPN and downloaded again and it installed first time.

I've got it on one of my test handsets at work, it seems like a decent enough change.

I thought about downgrading this morning due to my banking app not working properly, I'm one of those stupid people that didn't do a backup before installing rolleyes so it seems if I want to downgrade back to a fully working iOS, the phone would be reset and I'd lose everything.

Does anyone know what normally happens to beta testers when the fully working version comes out? Is it just a case of OTA updating or do we have to uninstall then install? (am I going to have to get everything off the phone to be able to use a non beta version?)

You'll be fine, when the final "gold master" GM build is released to the public, it'll either show as an update or you won't have to update at all as the previous build would have been the final version.

I've gone through 5 or 6 previous Apple beta programs and this was always the way.

But seriously do your backups before any OS update....;)

I got it on my company phone yesterday to test.

Seems OK - I am not really technology mad these days (despite my job!) however it works OK with exchange and activesync, and so far seems faster and easier to access various functions.

Will continue to see...

Looks like it may be device specific, nothing for my 5S

There's a developer beta out today (3) this will be beta 2 on the public program in a day or two I'd expect.

Hope it fixes the touch interface response and the ability to cancel an alarm once it's been snoozed smile

I have this on my iPad Mini.

The only thing I seem to be having issues with is Sky Go (one of the main reasons that I bought the thing - for travelling!)

Ah well!

Drag down on the alarm rather than tapping it, that'll give you snooze/stop options

I downloaded beta3 to my 6sPlus and air2 yesterday. A huge improvement over the last 2, the rotation bug is fixed there's a setting to remove click to unlock and just have rest to unlock, was in beta2 but wasn't working correctly. And battery life is already a lot better my air2 drained in about 6 hours of web searching yesterday prior to installing beta3.

downloaded it to my iPhone 6S plus no problems
had trouble downloading to my iPad pro ( small vision)
kept getting a download fail, so then downloaded opera vpn and it downloaded no problem

but all the apps i use , which aren't many, Evening standard & times newspapers, bbc iplayer, first great western trains, all crash after opening.
so I've deleted it from my iPad,and gone back to iOS 9.3

strange how the apps work on my iPhone but not my iPad

also downloaded sierra beta to my macbook air

mistakenly opted to put all docs onto the iCloud, so when i tried to use the macbook on a train with no wifi totally stuffed
also when adjusting photos with adobe photoshop elements, the adobe programme crashed overtime as i went to save the photo
so gone back to el captain

Well let's hope with the final release of the new iOS Apple managed to sort out all the fk ups they are so good at doing.

Not convinced though

Installed on a 5C.

So far, subtle but good changes. Overall definite improvement.

Mail app is vastly improved, especially the new threaded view.

Widgets are utterly pointless and clunky - removed them all from day 1.

Performance has been okay - slight sluggishness now and again - putting that down to the fact it's Beta software.

Keyboard is complete and utter turd. Unless I keep having a series of mini strokes, I'm sure I haven't lost the ability to spell. I find myself writing things out that seem fine, then reading them again and finding 40% of the words make no sense or are horrifically misspelt. The built in autocorrect also seems to struggle and I'm somewhat suspicious that it's autocorrecting things all the time without me noticing.

So far the keyboard is really the only drawback.

Yup, it does pulll down. And tapping stop when I do that doesn't always stop it. Indeed, tapping snooze sometimes snoozes it but then I can't stop it or get it out of snooze without doing a hard restart.
