I like the little vibrate when you lock the phone now.

I haven't installed the public beta myself (had a dire experience with iOS9's), but I read Ars Technica's preview and I seem to recall them saying the option was in Setting>Accessibility?
Cheers

Settings -> General -> Accessibility -> Home Button -> Rest Finger to Unlock
Excellent... thank you!
Much better this way.
Hmm this doesn't seem to work on iPad Mini 4. i have it switched on but I need to press the Home button, then rest my finger, then press the Home button to make it go to the Home screen (it does say it is unlocked when I rest my finger but does actually go to the Home screen).

Are you on beta2? The option was there but not working correctly.

It does seem to be a little hit and miss on my 5S.

Has Beta 2 landed for public yet? Didn't check this morning.

It doesn't look like the latest developer beta, which activates that feature, has been released to the public yet.

FYI;

BETA 2 released a few hours ago - I've just installed it.

New lock sound
Haptic feedback on manual lock
Clock in status bar on widgets view
Send files to iCloud Drive from Safari and Mail
Downloaded music label returns
Image picker in Messages no longer crops images to squares
Rest Finger to Open Accessibility option now works as expected
New “Share <name of app>” language when 3D touching an App Store app icon
Siri App Support panel in Siri’s preferences
Your Library appears first when searching in the Music app
“Subscribe” to playlists
New text tags below video placeholders in Health app
Now-typing indicator for GIF images in Messages app
New hub section in Home app preferences

First impressions: annoying keyboard lag/autocorrect seems to have been fixed. Performance all round significantly increased. Very happy!

I've got it to install but when I click on "accept" for the T's & C's, nothing happens. I suspect I might have to update via my laptop to overcome it.

So that's developer beta3 as public beta2 I'll try to stop confusing people now then.

I've just tried again and it's seemingly updating now (without me having to accept/ decline so maybe it remembered my choice?????

Got public beta 2 yesterday.

Things are noticeably better and the minor bugs I'd noticed previously seem to be fixed.

Augemented reality in Pokemon Go still isn't working tho, nor is the fingerprint authentication on my banking app, but I suspect that's more down to app compatibility more than the OS itself.

Is anyone else having issues backing up to iCloud? I haven't backed up to the cloud since feb but have done laptop backups since then. When trying to backup, the phone (iP6S) gets very warm in the area of the lock button and the time remaining just keeps increasing, eventually it throws an error saying the backup couldn't be completed. I left it running overnight at home and it still failed. I'm trying to backup around 40GB. I've signed in and out of iCloud and deleted the last backup.

Well let's hope with the final release of the new iOS Apple managed to sort out all the fk ups they are so good at doing.

Not convinced though
Quoting myself here but i have just updated to 9.3.3 and surprise surprise, half of my frequently used apps are now fked.

Brilliant.

I think for me, unless IOS10 is more stable, i'm done with Apple.

That's why it's only the Beta, because they have not found and ironed out the bugs!

That's not apples fault that's the app developers.

The apps I had issues with are seemingly sorted now, I'm on 10.1.
