Wife has dropped her Samsung S6 down the loo(unbelievably, the second time she has done it!!) It seems totally dead, putting it in rice didnt help. I wonder if there is any way of getting the pics she took on holiday(just recently) off it?Will Samsung/EE(her phone co) be able to do it? An independent company? Or me on the PC?
Im sure she didnt back anything up first

Are the pics stored on a SD card?

An Android phone will automatically backup her photos to Google Photos, unless she told it not to when she took her first photos when she first got the camera.
Get her to log into a pc or tablet with her gmail address and then go to Google Photos https://photos.google.com/ and she should see them all.
If they are not there, then you will have to wait until the phone is perfectly dry and see if it boots up.

It's most likely going to need a chip-off process if it can't be brought back to life with a new battery or power through a USB cable.

Better to take it a repair shot. if the memory card was not dead, then it is still possible to get back the pics. Here is a tutorial on how to recover s6 photos. You can use the data extraction feature when using the software.

Make sure the replacement is IP67 or 68 rated.

Have you tried plugging it in to a computer as it could just be the screen is dead, might come up and let you access the folders.
