Looking to run vag com and remap software on a laptop. I have a xp disk for operating system but can anyone recommended a new laptop or tablet that I could use for less than £100 pounds.

thanks

No.

You won't get a new laptop for under £100 that'll run Windows XP - the only thing you'll get at that price will be a low-end Windows 8 tablet with EFI firmware which probably won't boot XP.

You'd be better off just trying to get an old XP laptop second hand.

Maybe look into using VMware to create a virtual machine running XP.

I'd just buy a reasonable used laptop - if you find one that really isn't up to running anything newer than XP it'll probably be a bargain. VM option is good as long as you can still access the VAG-com cable from the guest OS.

This - I run some Porsche diagnostics on a virtual machine on a Mac.

This site has suitable laptops but they will spam and call endlessly:

I don't want to say too much here but I know that some of the older IBM lappies run that stuff very well something like a T61 or similar

Its hard to beat a Dell latitude or Panasonic Toughbook for that type of stuff:

We usually get the win98 laptops we need in work from there.
