I waited a week for the new phone madness to subside, checked the Apple stocks local to me and reserved a 7+ 256gb in silver.
The Southampton sales guy said they get deliveries twice a day and that the Plus only arrives in small numbers and obviously sells out in just an hour or so.
I asked how the iWatch was selling, he smiled and said it wasn't.

Weird, I keep looking on apple's website and they always seem to be sold out,The Southampton sales guy said they get deliveries twice a day and that the Plus only arrives in small numbers and obviously sells out in just an hour or so.

Maybe I'm looking at the wrong time? Got a 7 plus but after a week of using it I find the size too inconvenient. The fact that the telephoto lens only works in bright lighting conditions was also a bit of a disappointment. Liked pretty much everything else about it though.
Apple love to keep ISO low, so the camera app seems to use fairly low shutter speeds often, which the 28mm with OIS is more likely to get a sharp image with, not to mention it lets in a stop more light compared to the 56mm. I'm hoping an app will let you actually choose which lens you want to use though.
I'm looking forward to going to the plus size, but who knows I may be wrong!

Got mine yesterday after seeing they had a 32GB in black in stock for reservation at the local store.
After 2 years of Android on Nexus devices, which I mostly loved, it was time to get back to Apple for me. I just want my phone to work and while IOS is still misses some features it is a trade off between being fully customisable and open vs reliable.
That said on the reliability front I am finding it likely to drop the 4G signal and go onto 3G rather a lot. It holds the 3G signal better than my Nexus 6 did but 4G is poor. Hopefully something that will get fixed by a carrier update from Three as I'm not the only one that seems to have come across this.

I guess they really are drip feeding just 10 or 20 a day out at each store.
Doesn't the cynical part of your mind kick-in and question that?I strongly suspect that creating false, extended demand will work wonders for their next press release.

battery life of my 7 is great! i'm easily lasting all day even with what i'd call moderate to heavy use. yesterday i used the phone a reasonable amount yesterday and went to sleep with still 50% battery left. where on my 6 i would've probably stuck it on charge on the way home from work at 30/40% boost it till 70/80% on the way home then be back to 30/40% by bed

Not sure - I bought the Apple battery case for it, which I really like. Just checking now - the battery case has 34% power left and it's had heavy use from 8am to 9pm. The phone, of course, is still on 100%.http://www.trustedreviews.com/iphone-7-review

Probably not a helpful post in your quest, other than to say the Apple battery case is a neat item.

Whoever wrote that is a serious bell-end. He is complaining because he got 6 HOURS screen on time? Are you kidding? 6 hours SOT is amazing for a smart-phone.http://www.trustedreviews.com/iphone-7-review

don't be pathetic, i hadn't responded because it's pointless arguing my point because you clearly don't understand the reality of the manufacturing industry. Yes I swear, mother fking theresa this is the internet not a bridge club. I'd put it to bed to be honest but you've dragged it back up and perpetuated the argument for all these other people to have to put up with. Was it worth it?
I agree. No way do Apple 'deliberately' restrict distribution of a new model on release. This year, it is rumoured that there was a shortage of the second lens, the jet black model suffers a high product failure rate (over 30%?) and due to the Note 7 recall, demand has been significantly higher of the plus model. Apple wouldn't deliberately restrict production and sales, why would they? Do you really think the number of people reading 'Apple's iPhone sells out' and then suddenly thinking 'oh I better buy one then' and going out and buying a £750 phone would outweigh the furious and disappointed buyers who usually buy every new model but don't get theirs this year because Apple have deliberately produced less?!
