Is the battery on the ip7 that much better that the ip6/6s now that people have had theirs to use for a few weeks? Just deciding whether to bother upgrading based on battery life really.
Not noticed any great difference myself, except that if you are really hammering it it actually goes down quicker - gets extremely hot!JiggyJaggy said:

I think it would be hard to give an informative view - all the 7's are new, and new batteries last longer than old batteries.I use the Apple battery case on my 7 - which I was not sure I'd like, but it's great. Gives probably two days of charge.
Occasionally I use the 7 without the battery case (just to exercise the internal battery) and I'd say it feels like it should last a full working day - 8am to 7pm of average usage, which feels longer than the 6. A bit of a guess... and, as I mentioned above, it is a new battery.
Took delivery of the Griffin Bluetooth headphone adapter at the weekend.
First impressions are decent for £20, though it's very, very plasticky, but is about 1/3 the size of the Aukey one previously posted.
Bluetooth reception is incredibly stable; positioning it on shirt collars, inside pockets, inside bags etc does not disrupt the transmission, and it only begins to flake out when doors/walls get in the way. A voice lets you know when it's switched on, switched off, connected and disconnected.
Audio quality is very good, and I would even go as far as saying the audio coming from my years old, though high-end Sony earbuds I had connected was better than the native headphone jack found on my previous iPhone 6. I suspect the DAC inside and the supply of power is beefier than what the iPhone was willing to provide, because the volume output was plenty loud at not even 50%! This should work well for those wanting to pair it with difficult to drive headphones.
It replicates in-line mic functionality, so I could use "Hey Siri" and take calls. The mic isn't great, and sounded a touch worse than the in-line mic of the bundled Apple EarPods.
Battery life is only up to 6 hours quoted, but I plan on just charging it when I get to work each day to keep it topped up for the commute back home. A downer is it can't be used or even paired when charging.

Just an iPhone question rather than an iPhone 7 question. Does anyone know how to set it so that messages in notifications aren't shown on the lock screen? I've tried every setting and searched online but no luck.

Hi there, iPhone SE 64 GB on iOS 10.0.2
Thinks its 'Settings' - then - 'Notifications' - then 'Messages' there should be a toggle saying 'Show on lock screen'

Went to an apple store yesterday in Cardiff with the full intention of purchasing an iphone7 128gb to replace a Nokia 930, but having played about with it I was left completely underwhelmed, mainly due to the awful home button.
You get used it it. The "normal" home button on my work iPhone 6 feels so strange now after a month with the 7. Gassing Station | Computers, Gadgets & Stuff | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
