I have no idea how true it is but I've got a theory that the regular wired ones fall out because of the cable, so the wireless ones might stay in better?

This is very much true, most of the time when you pull out ears it's because of the cable. Although ALL of the time you save them is also because of the cable.

No ears are the same though, the earpods won't stay put any way I've tried so I always go to a pair of €25 Sennheisers as they stay in my ears. I can very much imagine that some people can hold the earpods in but not the sennheisers. Either way, no matter who makes them, I think the risk of losing one vs the price would just be to great for me to justify.

You need earloops that clip onto the earbuds and then go around the outside of the ear.

I never had any trouble with the older style Apple earphones falling out, but the new design fall out easily. I'm not sure I would want to pay £150 for bluetooth headphones with broadly the same sound quality as the bundled headphones, no matter how good the bluetooth chip is.

I have a set of these. The pro is that they don't fall of your ears. The con is that they work their way out, so you constantly have to push then in again. Very annoying. Might just be me - no earphones stay in. The best ones have little prongs that wedge into the ridges of the ear - they seem more resistant to falling out.

Rubber bands.

Walk along the road outside your house and you will find lots of rubber bands that the postman has dropped.

Use said rubber bands to hold said earpiece in place.

It's ok. No need to thank me.

Why doesn't my card come up for Apple pay when I double click the home button when the phone is locked?

I've got the feature set to on under settings - wallet and apple pay but is there something else stopping it working?

You have to turn it on under Touch ID settings too?

Same here or the wire between them gets caught and pulls one ear out, I find having the cable tight is better but still not perfect. I also find if you wear them for a solid day they hurt like hell.

In the past 2 or 3 weeks my phone has turned off and refused to turn back on for 5+ minutes. Also when phone rings it will not allow me to swipe to answer unless I press the home button repeatedly almost as if to 'wake' the phone up. Anyone else having similar issues?

My AirPods have been delivered. A quick test has shown that, with my ears at least, that are secure enough to not fall out. The sound quality to me is on a par with the wired earphones, and the double-tap to activate Siri works really well, as does the music pausing when you take both AirPods out, and the switching to mono when you take one out. The charging case is small enough to fit in the small watch pocket on my jeans, so finally I have a use for that.

All in all, I'm very impressed.

Just got mine also, perfect for travelling and tube commuting etc when wires do my head in.

Has anyone been able to just walk into the Apple store and purchase these in person today? The minus suddenly wants a pair!

I find these work pretty well, you get a million different buds for the perfect fit. You need to burn them in for roughly a million hours though.
