Most of the features that I've seen complaints about (e.g. Quick reply not available) do have solutions - it seems they've just got a new action, usually updated to incorporate a 3D Touch feature rather than a swipe gesture; I've been reading iPhonehacks.com

What's bothering me the most as the upgrade has reset all my notifications sounds and lock screen restrictions. Fecking annoying. Also I'm not convinced about the widgets on the lock screen. From a security perspective this seems a backwards move, surely the point of a lock screen is to limit interaction from external users? You can even have wallet in there confused

That struck me, too.

Although, Wallet does need a) to be handy and b) needs TouchID to actually work?

Nothing happens when I swipe left on my lock screen.

The only way i can get to the widgets is if i am unlocked on the home screen.

We all know this is what you really meant. wink
hehe

What isn't so funny is that I've just realised I've been charged 55p a pop for these. Completely forgot I get charged for picture messages which aren't on iMessage or WhatApp...

You can enable/disable widgets on the home screen.

Looks like 'Today View' in Settings -> Touch ID & Passcode controls visibility to things on the lock screen, certainly some of the 3rd party apps I've installed can be controlled while the phone is locked ..

Maybe me being stupid but how do you get quick to the torch?
Easy swipe up before and it was there without unlocking.
It's still a swipe up on the lock screen for me, same as it was previously.

Are these sent via mms? I have that turned off, although all of mine have been sent wifi I think!

It seems it's best to avoid any OS with the number 10 in it ..

Yes they were - the recipient of my "artwork" doesn't have an iPhone. I assume if it went as an iMessage there would not have been a charge.

I didn't realise there was an option to turn MMS off - I've done that now, better late than never!

Found one issue - iTunes with iPhone 6S+ and iPad Pro (both sizes) don't like using a USB hub . . . you need to connect them to the PC/Mac using a built in USB port and use a genuine Apple lightening cable to do a restore/upgrade. They sync perfectly well on the hub but for some reason won't upgrade or restore.

Arsebiscuits, sent a doodle using message to the mrs by mistake and BT robbed me of 40 pence. Her phone is coal powered and will not display it anyway. This will be expensive

And no, it was not rude, just a squiggle.

The idea of my phone monitoring every journey is horrible to me. Imagine that you left for a long journey down the M6. Early morning and traffic is clear. Imagine that you set the cruise to the mid 80's and kept an eye out for cameras / cars..

Now, if you got to the services slightly faster than 70mph average, there's a digital record that you've in effect created yourself.

I'm also sceptical about how that face tagging might be abused in future. I made he mistake of logging into the facebook app that was on my work phone when it was delivered (since deleted). Facebook now continually asks to connect me to all my suppliers, customers and colleagues on desktop facebook. How long til Zuckerburg and his people start detecting who is tagged where, and then starting to see who knows who socially? Might not even need to be uploaded to facey, just on the phone.

Not upgraded to 10 yet, but the bloody thing is pestering me to...

You must have given Facebook access to your phone contacts for it to do that, there's no tin foil hat needed.

Has anyone worked out how to do the text messaging sending effects?

Supposedly, you press and hold the send arrow and it should come up with various styles, but even with 3D touch on, mine doesnt work?

Went to Airplay a film to my Apple TV last night. All I could find is Mirroring on the choices. Took me a good 15 minutes of googling to find out how to do it. You swipe left from the menu where it used to be.

Why do they have to piss around with stuff which works just fine??

Don't know about to do that but watch out it is not seen as a text by your carrier. I got charged for a squiggle and I have unlimited texts option.

If you are sending an iMessage (not a text) you can hold down the up arrow (to send) and then the effects and full screen backgrounds come up.

As said above, if you are sending a text message (to a non iPhone) any pictures are sent as mms.
